Both windows open this morning

This is one of those "easy to fix" technology things; years ago I had a Citroen that had a rain sensor for the auto wipers, and had global open/close for the windows and sun roof. But Citroen had "linked" them, so if it started to rain it would automatically close the windows and roof. It meant you could park in summer with the windows open a couple of inches and it would really help to keep the car cool....

I have now switched Global Opening off in settings. Whilst on you can remotely open the windows with the fob. 2 presses on unlock followed by a 5 secs press.

All I can think that it may have happened whilst I was still wearing my jeans in the lounge last night. Still a good 20 or so feet from the car plus a couple of walls.

I regularly go out in the morning to see the boot opened up on my audi for this reason - so ive stopped putting the key in my trouser pocket...

I would prefer a way to close the windows using the fob. Easier to exit the car in a tight parking space with the window down.

That's a bit poor. Only time I ever used it was when I'd locked the car on a sunny day and forgot to close the windows first.:doh:

Works on the current Mondeo; but not my Mustang. Probably a US thing to prevent entrapment.

I was laying on the couch watching TV last winter when I noticed lights shining down the driveway. Got up and looked out the window and the Mustang lights were on. I figured I had rolled into the Fob in my pocket and unlocked the doors. Locked the car and forgot about.

I went out the next morning, we had had about 6" of snow over night and my windows were down and the front seat was full of snow. That was my introduction to global opening windows, needless to say I figured out how to turn it off never to be on again.

As said above, being able to close the windows remotely would be useful. Even my old 1998 BMW closes it's windows if you hold the key, remember them, in the lock position.

Why you would want to open your windows before getting in is beyond me. Well in the UK anyway.

I found a safety assistance option in my Samsung S5 the other day and turned it on and added my brother and my ex wife to the contacts.

Hit the on/off button 3 times quickly and it sends them an alert.

Next day worried call from both saying they had received a text from me saying SOS Help Me, with map coordinates and a picture of me sitting in my armchair at home.

My brother said that the map reference had me in my village pond.

Again it must of gone off in my pocket. Now turned off.

Had this happen to me this morning.

Was out at the car last night taking some kit from the boot to the garage and the car was all buttoned up afterwards.

Went to leave for work at 0730 and the windows were both down :(

Couldnt have been down long as the OH had left only 30 mins earlier.
