Anyone running e85 with a whipple? Just curious about the power gains. I'd be interested in hearing about it with other supercharger applications as well.

any application will benefit from better fuel whether it be e85 or race gas, you'll be able to add more timing and push off detonation.

all how far you want to push it.

we were making over 900 wheel with our setup

If you have E85 available to you, we'd highly recommend using it. Most boosted applications, depending on how much boost you are pushing, can see gains of 50rwhp or more! The only thing you need to consider when doing E85 is making sure you have enough fuel system to push enough volume to support the power you are planning on making.

You typically need about 30% more ethanol to support the same power as a gasoline based fuel. So if you are planning on 1000rwhp on E85, you'll need injectors, lines, rails and pumps that can support roughly 1300rwhp on a gasoline based fuel.

Hope that clears things up, let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks

You'll learn to love the sweet smell of E85.

Any updates on a FF tune for boosted cars? Running it on my NA setup and love it. One of the reasons I haven't bolted on the SC yet.

Is it bad to boost a Procharged GT stage 2 on e85 with a JMS bap ? Like once every blue moon ? I've got 1000cc injectors etc just no fuel system

It's just not safe without pumps. Definitely wouldn't do it on a BAP.
