BLIS Warning Sound

I've poked through the owners manual and I can't find it or completely missing it...

Is there an option to turn on a sound alert when the system recognizes something next to you when your blinker is on?

I will swear on whatever that mine beeped at me the entire 4 hour drive home from balitmore to pitt after I bought it. When I got home I was playing with all the settings and I've never heard it in the 2,000 miles since, nor can I find an option to turn it on/off, nor does anyone else seem to believe that it can be enabled...

Just like I recall from my drive home, the amber mirror light would illuminate when someone was in your blind spot, but it would only beep at you if you signal was on and someone was in your blind spot.

I did not know this! I see the amber light in my mirrors (if the sun or a car with HID's isn't blinding the view) I never knew they beeped. SO the secret to getting them to beep is to have the turn signal on! I'll have to try that.

I guess I haven't accidentally tried to run anybody off the road yet.. I haven't heard a single beep lol

Mine beeped (and flashed) when I had my turn signal on. Never heard anything with my signal off...

Pretty sure the cross traffic alert thing beeps when you are in reverse but the BLIS doesn't beep .... unless you are driving everywhere backwards. I believe that the light comes on when there is a vehicle beside you and the the light flashes when there is a vehicle beside you and you have the signal light on.

My BLIS light in the mirror comes on "steady" when a car enter the blind spot to the rear and flashes as the car approaches the door.

Your avatar doesn't state what model/year you own, so i dont know if you're speaking from 2015 hands on experience. What you've written does not apply to my 2015 GT Premium.

On my 2015 GT Premium (Regardless of the turn signal on or off):
Car approaching = Steady yellow light
Car past my rear bumper = Flashing yellow light
Brakes on & vehicle at a stop, no light.

I can't understand why Ford would make the lights flash differently for different models of the S550.

My apologies. Driving home tonight, I confirmed the patterns:

On my 2015 GT Premium
Car in BLIS sensor range - Foot off brake & Signal Off = Steady yellow light
Car in BLIS sensor range - Foot off brake & Signal On = Flashing yellow light
Car in BLIS sensor range - Vehicle at a stop light/sign, = no light.

In any of the above cases, no audio feedback, which I wish there was for when the turn signal was on and a car was in the BLIS sensor range.

Yeah I thought I was missing something... regardless it's better than the dual mirror shenanigans that the 200A package has, but still I wish for audio.

Unless, somebody has found a way to uncover this in the settings?

Silence is BLIS. Mine has never made a peep while I'm in a forward gear.
