One thing nobody seems to be mentioning after they see the 15' Mustang in person is the blind spot. I ask because I was this close to buying a Camaro, but there was a gigantic blind spot over my right shoulder. So I guess what I'm asking is just how bad is the blind spot? My car is already ordered so it won't be a dealbreaker but I'm hoping it isn't worse than a Camaro.

How bad are you at adjusting your mirrors? I drive a cargo van with no windows, I have no blind spots because my mirrors are correctly adjusted.

Wow I was just asking a question, no need to attack me.

Sorry if it came off that way. People are too sensitive online. I mean no harm.

What I mean to say is....blind spots? what blind spots? I've never driven any vehicle that had blind spots after I adjusted the mirrors, and that includes cargo vans with no windows, yet still no blind spots. What are you worried about?

With Bliss or the spotter mirrors the blind spots are virtually nil. I have the spotter mirrors on my 12 and they work well. Although if you adjust your mirrors correctly you really do not need them. Here is how I set my mirrors. For the Drivers side I place my head against the window and adjust the mirror so I see the back third of the car. For the passenger side I lean over to the center of the car and do the same. This sets them so when the vehicle leaves your mirror it is in the field of vision out the window. I read about this online some where and it works very well, even with the tiny folding 03 Cobra mirrors on my 02 vert.

Guys, get over the mirror's he's asking about basic visibility out of the cab without mirrors. And you always have a blind spot, even with the blind spot mirrors, they only help. Mirror's aren't magic, they have a specific field of view, if something is out of that view, then you can't see it. therefor you have a blind spot, even a motorcycle has blind spots when using mirrors.

What/where would something be out of the field of view?

Nothing ever leaves my field of view, at worse it's in more than one mirror at one time. Where would this thing that is out of my field of view be?

When a car's mirrors are set up correctly, there are no blind spots.

Oh yes there are, if I have a blind spot when riding my motorcycle, you sure as hell have one in a car. Just because you move around in your seat to change the view in your mirror doesn't mean you don't have a blind spot.

and KGrG, outside of the border of your magic mirror

That makes no sense, can you answer the question? I'll admit I'm not a bike guy, but how/where is the blind spot, even in my cargo van?

I rented a Camaro once just to see what I might have missed out on.
I did notice the visibility is a lot worse than my 2011 mustang
Smaller mirrors, smaller rear window, and quarter panels that stick out pretty far lends itself to blind spots

The mirrors on the new mustang stick out further which should help with the more pronounced quarter panels, though looks like the rear window is smaller on the new mustang, so rear visibility might be worse than the current mustang

So until you get to drive a 15 mustang there really is no way to tell if it will have more or less blind spots

3 mirrors in a car, not 2. If you adj. them as described in fionic's post you don't have to move and you won't have any blind spots.

Thanks fionic, 100%. I can't see the side of my own car in either mirror when in my normal driving position, but I would be able to see the red car BOTH in my driver side mirror and looking over my shoulder (even in a cargo van). I would be able to see the yellow car in my rear view mirror and if he wasn't hugging my ass I'd be able to move my head little to none and see him in both side mirrors and I'd 100% be able to see the green car in my passenger side mirror and depending on how far back he is, I should be able to see him in my rearview mirror. On top of that, with just a lean of my body I can see both my rear tires to get nice in close to the curb when parallel parking with zero curb rash.

What is magic, answer my question don't just say it's magic.
