When I first got my car it would beep whenever I had the turn signal on and someone was in my blind spot. Shortly after getting it I obviously tinkered around with all of the settings. Ever since it hasn't beeped at me when someone's in my blind spot. The mirrors still blink just no audible sound. Maybe I haven't looked hard enough but where's the function to turn on/off the beeping?

2 Different things - BLIS or Blind Spot Information System only flashes the LEDs on your mirrors. No sound from that.

The Cross Traffic Alert system beeps when you are in reverse and there is something approaching from either side - useful when backing out of parking spots when parked next to a van or SUV. In addition to the beep, it displays a warning in the center display indicating which direction the vehicle or pedestrian is approaching from.

From the owners manual:

Note: For manual transmission vehicles,
the cross traffic alert will be active only if
the transmission is in reverse (R). If your
vehicle is rolling backward and the
transmission is not in reverse (R) then cross
traffic alert will not be active

Cross traffic alert also sounds a series of
tones and a message appears in the
information display indicating a vehicle is
coming from the right or left. Cross traffic
alert works with the reverse sensing
system that sounds its own series of tones.
See Parking Aid (page 147).
Since you have a Performance Package vehicle (manual transmission), you'll only receive alerts when in reverse it looks like.

Nope. It definitely beeps when someone is in your blind spot and your signal is on while accelerating forward, not just reverse. Any time when you get an orange dot in the mirror. I just can't figure how to turn it back on...

I have BLIS too and mine has never beeped. Is there a way to turn it on?

Nobody else has ever claimed that this happened to them.

I don't think it is possible, but I would like for it to beep if I turn my signal on and somebody is in my blind spot.

This has been a big question for me too with my '15 Explorer Sport (with these same options). My '11 Jeep Grand Cherokee beeped if I put my signal on and someone was in my blind spot - really liked that feature.

Mine never beeped either when moving forward. Only reverse. Don't think it was supposed to but it sure would icing on the blind spot cake.

In my experience BLISS does not beep, but CTA does.

This is crazy. I can't find anything on it anywhere... I drove the car back 4 hours from Baltimore (all highway) so it probably beeped at me on 15-20 occasions. Then afterwards when I was home I played with all settings for an hour or two just getting used to everything and haven't ever heard it since...

Beeping would be really helpful since the led light is so tiny compared to other cars. It's hard to see it flashing during the day.
