Custom Licence Plate Bracket

Thanks to Bossing for the great recommendation
I'd like to get exactly the same frame but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to create it on their website.

65sohc I took a picture of my floor mat "shelby" and said put that at the top, then took a pic of our floor still "GT350" and said put that at the bottom, I did not use the creater because it is tricky. They emailed me back within an hour of a picture of what it will and look like, and was perfect as you can see. Someone else wanted the same as me like you and they just sent them a picture of mine, I am sure you can do the same, they probably still have the frame on file.

Installed Escort Max 360 radar detector, blend mount, and mirror tap. Black Ground wire goes in same square as the black/blue wire. Red V12 wire goes in same square as the brown/yellow wire. Be patient with the wire, this was my second wire tap set because I was to rough with the wires and broke them. I think it took me 2 hours just trying different wires/ angles/ combinations/ sides of the square holes. I think I ended up using the largest black wire out of the 4 and the third largest of red wires. I actually used different wires that I didn't break the first time so there was no need to order the second set so I am going to see if they accept returns. Its $35, so pretty expensive for little wires. Its nice, it turns on when I start the car and shuts off by itself when I open the door. I have to read the manual to stop some of the false alarms.

be SUPER careful with the max 360. LSP is using dragoneye minis with new encoding which the escort max doesnt pick up. I have a max360 too, it now sits in a drawer in my office.

I got popped once. Then called a patrol friend of mine. i parked right in front of him. he played around with his laser unit. Not a single alert out of the max 360.

I had my V1 updated. It does alert to it.

You may want to also look into ALP jammers.

Should I just return it and get a V1? I tried asking you what I should get in a private msg, because we live in the same area, but I guess that was when you were out of town. I only got this because I just got a speeding ticket, I told the cop I have not gotten one in 8 years and still would not let me go. It was on the causeway to which I never go on, I just wasn't paying attention to my speed. Any advice on how to get out of a speeding ticket?

I travel a ton. sorry for not getting back to you. Last time I came home, it'd been so long since i had been, that it took me a minute to remember my address. :frusty:

in all honesty, I would do two things:

1. I would return the escort max 360 and get a V1. That is just my preference. Sadly, I wasn't able to figure out the max 360 wasn't really what it is cracked up to be until after my return period was over. You'll also save yourself $250. I'd also ditch the blendmount in favor of a visor clip. if you do get pulled over, with a blend mount, it will be an immediate ticket. At least with a visor clip, you can toss the detector into the glovebox or console, thus, at least giving you a chance to get out of the ticket. Our cars are so loud, they draw attention when you're doing 25mph in a 50.

2. I'd sign up to do a track day light at nola. Consider getting a junior membership if you like it. between tickets, increased insurance, the danger to you and others, etc, the Jr membership is a steal comparatively.

As for the ticket, depending on what is was for ( how many mph over the limit) and what your insurance company attaches to premiums for it, I'd consider hiring a lawyer. a lawyer will run you about $400, then you'll have to pay whatever they negotiate it down to, but it should get reduced to a non-moving violation and stay off of your record.

Don't feel dumb about it though. Within a month of getting my gt350, I got one ticket in a rental ford explorer and one in my gt350. you live, you learn.

If you want the tour of NOLA, let me know. I have a garage over there and a great relationship with a couple of the staff members.

zombiekiller yes I am signed up for the track light, HPDE , track heavy, track night, and more autocross. It's sucks because I am doing everything right keeping the crazy driving on the track, but Kenner cops and causeway cops just suck in general, useless. Driving in a strait line on the bridge early in the AM with no traffic, it's dumb because I should of never gotten this ticket, if I am going to get a ticket I want to at least be trying to speed so it's at least justicble. Oh well

OK so everyone wants to know, how many MPH over u get nailed for ? My last ticket I paid a lawyer to get me out of but It was in VA and anything over 80 mph is reckless driving which is mad points / fine . I was doing 85 in a 65 on that one. Quick $700 lesson for me.

Yup, I went through the same thing man, lol. A lot of other people only spent a few minutes getting this thing installed, and usually everything takes me 20x longer than it takes everyone else. Glad I'm not the only one who had issues getting these damn wires squeezed in though.

Hmm, are they really that risky? I have one for my radar detector in my vert and usually drive with the top down often -- next to cops and all. Haven't been pulled over or anything yet though.

Unless you live in virginia, I wouldn't worry about it. A cop might not give you leniency if they see a RD, but if a cop notices you're trying to stash one away in a pull over, he might think you're trying to hide something else.

If you're getting laser alerts on a radar detector, then it's already too late.

If I'm ever in VA, I'm setting the cruise control for the speed limit and keeping it there. Screw that state.

Yup. I kind of figured that too. My RD is pretty visible at all times, especially at night with the bright light and max volume and the top's down, lol. I'm guessing if there's an issue with having them here, they probably just don't care enough.

risky in the way that you will have zero chance of getting out of a ticket or having the officer reduce it if he or she sees it.

you wouldnt likely get pulled over just for the blendmount/detector, but i'd bet you might get your speeding ticket, an obstruction of rear view ticket, and tickets for anything else that is a violation if the officer is having a bad day.

and it isnt too late if you get a laser alert on your detector if you always make sure that you've got a rabbit ahead of you, otherwise, ALPs are a necessity.

Very happy with my V1. It's saved me at least 2 tickets. Laser is very difficult and by the time you get pinged you're pretty much toast.
