Depends on how much getting them prepped and painted.
I wonder if you could order the california special ones that are painted glossy black.
Unfortunately I don't think you can get any parts pre-painted from Ford. I found several on ebay but none in black.

http://www.newtakeoff.com/ has some pieces, but no mirror covers.

That would be pretty sweet. I'm sure that's possible but the daunting task of finding the part number in the ford parts catalog does not sound fun

Hey Fabulous, did you get the black primer ones? If so, remember that jasonstang has a CS, which comes with black painted mirrors. The primer ones need some TLC to get a gloss on them. They're kinda satin black when you get them. I used polish, sealant, and wax on mine. Same as I use on the rest of the car. As you can see, they aren't as perfect as they would be with a top notch paint job, but I'm satisfied with them. The primer isn't as hard as paint and clear coat, so I'm sure I'll have to paint them at some point.
Those black covers look good as is, that's a good idea

went to the local dealership and they said all primer parts these days, no pre-painted.. have to find a pair off a crash car, someone who took theirs off, or just have a set painted..... which is probably what I will do. The primer ones are not glossy enough

Just received my FedEx package containing the mirror covers. Took them out of the box and compared them to my black hood vents. The mirror covers do have a shine on them and they are primed, just not the same black. You might be able to wax them and shine them up. I don't think you will get the same color black. Now I will just need to find someone to get them painted.

Mine were the same before I polished them. You might give it a try.

Called Surprise Ford and they gave the name and number where they get all there work done at Fix Auto Collision. Dropped off the mirror covers and quoted painted w/ 2 coats of clear and baked $119.05. Pricey, but sounds like they will do a good job.

Picked up the mirror covers on 10/11 and let them sit inside and cure. The body shop stated "let cure for 30 days, if you can". Installed them on the car last weekend and now just getting around to post a picture. What do you think? I probably would have not completed this upgrade if someone would have not hit my passenger mirror cover.
I'm happy and I guess at the end that is what matters.
