Black Appearance Package Taillights

Does anyone have pictures of what the taillights look like that come in the black appearance package? I'm told they are tinted in some way but I can not seem to find any pictures of them.

I don't believe that they are tinted, I don't have any pictures but from what I have seen the tail lights are not tinted with the black appearance package.

I was told from my dealer who is the fleet manager and has been ordering cars for 30+ years and he showed me a screen stating they were darkened tails. I don't believe it's the rear most visible portion but the sides of each upright that are darkened

My buddy has a blackout pkg and they definitely do not look tinted in any way that I can tell.....was driving one day next to him and actually noticed how red they were (in contrast to his black car) and how much they stood out lol. Badges and wheels are black, that's about it unless I'm missing something.

I don't care what your dealer says, they are wrong a lot of the time. I've seen the 16's with the blackout package and the lights are the same as the non blackout package. Maybe different on the 17's but I doubt it because I don't think Ford is going to spend $$ on different lights other than the Euro tails being clear. Not to mention in most states darkened tail lights aren't legal.

They are not tinted. Ford cannot tint their rear or front lights without that being approved by this and other country's regulatory bodies, and do you think they're going to pay for that?

They're not tinted. You get black wheels and black badges (5.0, grille pony, GT emblem).

I have a CS and just bought the black 5.0 badges for $30 and moved on. The package is way to expensive for what you get.

This is exactly what I'm referring to. The red lens is not tinted but the inside has been darkened to give an overall tinted look.

Thank you [MENTION=6363]Topnotch[/MENTION] this is exactly what I was thinking and it's good to see the confirmation in pictures. This is the deciding factor to me to get the black appearance package. I would have changed the badges anyway but the tails would be impossible to find without taking out a second mortgage lol.
