I did read the thread, you feel that there is a design flaw in the metal puck scraping against the washer. You were getting a Noise that you didn't like.
NVH=
Noise
Vibration
Hardness

BMR diff lockouts aren't for everyone, I will never install them personally, because of the NVH characteristics. I would probably use the Steeda Kit with poly pucks.

The noise i didnt like was do to the actions happening i didnt like and that was do to the puck falling in and out of the diff mounts in the rear. That is a design flaw. IMO, but if that is acceptable to you so be it, but no i would not define that action under NVH.

In this case, you were better off with the Steeda pucks. They are not lockouts like the BMR pucks, but they will help stiffen up the diff mounts. And yes, any sort of research would have told you that there is increased NVH with the BMR diff lockouts.
Hi Quicksilver, I wanted to chime in and say that I always do my research before I commit to anything, but when the description of the lockouts advertised state that "NVH is nearly unchanged", the cake is a lie. NVH definitely increased big time, and it sounds like my car is broken or something seriously wrong. I feel like the lockouts are causing damage to the drive line with all this metallic sound coming from the car

I apologize for that misleading comment in our description. I was not aware that it stated that, to be honest. (I just removed it actually)

You can find me reviewing my thoughts on the Billet Aluminum Lockout Kits on this forum, with me clearly steering people AWAY from them if they are concerned with NVH, and also recommend a competitors (who does that?) Poly Insert kit instead.

Clearly, we are not in business to lie to people or mislead them - when the person who assisted with the design, development and testing is posting about the increases in NVH, and recommend people away from the product depending on what the customer is looking for in the part.

So that said, if you feel mislead - and are not happy with the product, I will gladly accept the kit back and give you a full refund.

I definitely appreciate this Kelly thank you. I want to swap them out soon eventually but need to wait until I get the bushings to replace these as for some reason I've misplaced my stock ones. The gear whine and etc doesn't bother me, in fact I think it sounds cool lol but the clunk/clack/clink is definitely an earsore and kills it for me

?

I am confused with your post.

The BK054 does not replace the OEM Bushings.

If you have the BK054, you can simply remove the kit and be stock again.

My noob mistake, I had my mechanic perform the install along with the cradle lockout kit and I was only there helping him with part of it as I can't work on my car where I live (due to HOA restrictions). If that is the case then I'll just remove them. The only pain in the ass part is that I had to use loctite on some of the bolts due to them backing out (even after having them torqued to spec as instructed). You might remember me, I actually contacted you via phone a month or so ago regarding my concern.

I just bought BK054 and CB005 I hope I don't have these problems or better yet maybe I won't install them and just do cb005 with steeda diff bushing and alignment kit. Decisions decisions.

We have shipped a very large amount of these components out.

I have had a handful of complaints via phone calls. I would say 5~ or so.

What I have noticed is, a few of those 5~ people had concerns with the bolts loosening up (which is NOT normal)

I am not sure if it is the install, or what. The bolts should not come loose, as the TQ spec for the bolts is specific for a required clamping force - usually 80~% of the yield value of the bolt.

Being in this industry for so long, most times things like this happen it is simply an install error, by using the "good-n-tight" torque method. If the proper TQ spec is met, and bolts loosen up, there is something else going on. Damaged threads is the only possible thing I can think of, or an interference with the TQ amount via galled threads, improper use of the wrench etc.

I think you will be fine, but if you do not want to take that chance then you can send them back and we will give you the full refund. You would need to call us and get an RMA # first though.

Whatever you choose, I will be here to assist you.
