Lol , havent ordered anything yet . This will be something Im thinking to do end of this year . Or after summer. I'm just doing my research and learning as much as I can now . Bit I'm still leaning in more towards the 62mm as long as the spool time is crazy much more than the 55mm
Oh, false alarm fellas. Shit I thought you were gonna kick off a TT build. I'll check back in next year.

OP... don’t screw around with these dumb small turbos.

twin 88’s only way to fly.

and 94 octane will support way more power than e85. You don’t need that garbage

keep it simple ... that’s my motto

I had 55 JB ‘s and now have the 62 BB’s with my top mount Hellion TT .
I replaced the JB’s when they started leaking and sent them to precision to be rebuilt so still have them .
I was told the BB 62’s would spool as quick as the 55’s but it’s not even close (messed with the boost controller as much as I know how).

I wish It was easy to swap back and forth, like a supercharger pulley (can’t turn a wrench but that I can do . Lol), but definitely preferred the car on the street with the 55’s .
I have made about the same in the dyno (about 1000-1100) but have not really turned the 62’s up

I know 62’s can 60 low 1.2X when set up well with or without trans brakes but on my car (not really played much with the boost settings / suspension ) the 55’s seemed to sixty better . Low 1.4x versus low 1.5x so far with the 62’s .

Problem is in Canada they dont have e85 . Would be amazing . Max is some gas stations have 94 oc
We have E85 here in Canada. Just get barrels brought in. Or run 94.

You are looking at $20K and up for a turbo build if running 94.

You need tires (1800+), clutch (900+), Injectors ($1200+), fuel system (1400+)

All your mods needed to support the turbo kit (and meet your goals) are going to cost at least over 6K...and you still need to purchase the kit, tune, dyno time, install time, etc.

20K CAD adds up fast

I can't even get a Base whipple stage 2 for less than 12K CAD.

Not really sure my wife would like a barrel or fuel in the garage... great idea to have, but not likely a solution for a daily driver.

Do you like the colors she put on the walls in the house and the furniture she chose?

Come on chief, the garage is yours.

Interesting.. how is a big single more efficient?
This should be good.
Increased amount of turbine blade area over which conditions are optimal for expanding hot exhaust gas and extracting mechanical energy during the process the gas is cooled.
The smaller the turbine blade, the faster the gas transitions thru this interface and wwwaaayy more difficult to extract as well as optimize thermodynamics at any one particular flow rate.

Automotive turbine sections may be 14-24% thermodynamically efficiency.
Newest massive power plant turbine sections are 200% more efficient.

The “pressure ratio” is related to efficiency.
