Best sounding H pipe

The price difference in the H pipes you see has to do with the quality/coating of the pipe itself. As others said, pipe made to look like an H can't really be improved upon..lol

Just throwing in my 2 cents, I had the cj h pipe on my car with the roush AB and it sounded awful, horrible rasp and sounded like a diesel truck at idle. I put the stock resonator back on it. Maybe keep your x pipe and throw on some trait through resonators to tone it down a bit?

First mod I did last year! Best money spent so far! Love the deeper sound from the H-Pipe and zero drone at any RPM !!

I did this as well, loved the sound but wanted just a bit more. Added the Ford Racing Touring, just what I was looking for.

Is the H pipe w/ Roush AB much louder cold start than just Roush AB? I feel I'm probably at upper limit of what my roommates will allow me get away with with stock resonator.

It was very loud, probably more than twice as loud as just the axle back

lol thats the issue with Roush, they sound great but only when they are used in conjuction with a otherwise 100% stock exhaust, as you found out, if you change anything else in the system........awful sounds :doh:

Just save your self some money and go have your local exhaust shop take the resonator out and build you an H-pipe. Cost me $100 installed.

I too am convienced on the h-pipe roush setup. I like loud, but not the type of loud that I can't take a road trip (aka droning at constant RPM or IDLE). Would a h-pipe with resonator delete and a roush axle back give me what I want? Also, What is recommeneded for long tube headers ? And will they elimate the cats? btw I have a convertible so everything is probably a little more senstive. However, it is shocking quite inside the car versus outside with the top up of course...
