Hey everyone, I’m going to get an alignment done for my Mustang, it’s running base GT500 20X11 wheels front and back. Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 295/30/20 in front with a one inch spacer (might do a minimum drop spring soon only up front) and 315/35/20 in the rear at stock ride height and springs.

I only daily this car hence the all seasons and want to be sure they wear as evenly as possible, any recommendations on making sure it get the best possible daily alignment?

I’ll be in NorCal for a few days and then back in SoCal (LA) soon if anyone has shop recommendations.

Thanks everyone! :)

If you daily it, I would just go with stock settings. If your worried about tire wear I would delete the toe but car turn-in will more than likely suffer.

If your in the Norcal area both Works and DevSpeed at Sonoma Raceway are great shops (ad next to each other). If you go to DevSpeed, them them I sent you.

Thank you for the advice, I’m going in to align this weekend, just got the new springs installed. Going for a basic factory alignment.

What Bumper/Fender/Hood manufacturer did you go with?
My friend who owns i5AutoHaus, dropped about $40K into the car so far, new body, interior, suspension, tires, and just refreshed a lot of the engine too.

I ended up having a ton of Ford reward points and when picking up some parts at the dealer I decided to ask an advisor if they’d do an alignment. The guy said since it’s not stock non of the factory alignment settings will line up or be correct, sounds like a load of **** to me. I’d assume the factory numbers are only ranges to get the wheels with-in, so only issue would be if it was lowered too much and I needed things like say camber plates.
Am I wrong on this? If I take it to get aligned and they do the “factory” Ecoboost settings will it not line up or work? Want to be sure before I go somewhere like Firestone for example where it’s not a custom alignment.

Since you have non stock components for that car (ecoboost or whatever) I can see what they’re saying.

I would also never trust a dealer tech with anything that’s not directly out of the book. I know 1 tech that couldn’t install steel braided brake lines lol.

I would recommend finding a performance alignment shop.

I just have the guy get as close to factory as he can.
a little negative camber is fine and helps in corners, its toe that is the tire killer.

generally a lowered car as close to stock as it can get is fine.

If you haven't lowerd it i dont see why they wouldn't be able to hit the alignment settings from the book. Bigger wheels don't make a difference.

PS what the heck is a gt230?

It has the BMR SP089 minimal lowering spring in the front, might need a camber bolt to adjust.

Ha ha ha, it’s what I call mine, fully built OEM spec GT500 body and tires with a full Super Snake interior swap. It’s a 2.3 that’s full bolt-on, being completely overhauled in every possible way I call it a GT230, 2.3 engine and it’s lower on the performance scale than a GT350 or GT500. I purposely avoid any Shelby badges or any up badging, I tell people straight up it’s an EcoBoost, confuses so many people 🤣
