Got my set of gorrilas yesterday. Unfortunately every single one of them has corrosion and rust inside. Rust is mostly on the inner cap not on the threads.

I inspected my oem lug nuts which has been on the call for 63,000 miles now and not a spec of rust.

Are you sure it's rust and not some kind of flash or leftover chemical deposit from the plating process? It just seems odd that they all have it and it's in a place that's well out of sight.

Here you go, its not identical form in every lug nut. Its on the bottom (or top depending on how you look) on every one but some of them have their entire bottom covered whereas others have 60% of it while rest looks normal. But its definitely rust/corrosion because I took a tiny screw driver and scraped a bit off and got it on my finger.

So, I went out to the garage and looked in my box of lug nuts. I've got lots. Some of my chrome McGard lug nuts are rusted in that location although not as bad. Others like my black McGard lugs are pristine. I also have some really deep Gorilla lug nuts and they're perfect, as are my 1/2" OEM Ford lugs off my Explorer. Seems to be the luck of the draw.
