I live in VA as well and have the first one sold by Shelby Racing. Have had it on for 10 months now with no issues.

That's good to hear! Honestly if I had known this was an option prior to buying the grill bracket from Amazon I probably would've gone with this one

Haha I wish. Fact is there are a lot of job opportunities for my line of work where I live so I don't plan on moving anytime soon.

Has anyone used the VHB tape versions on Xpel PPF? I live in TX where the front plate is required but about 20% of the cars don't have it installed but if I get a ticket I will need to do so to clear the ticket.

Isn’t the adhesive tape used for the plate holder under the car where you wouldn’t apply PPF? If not, I’d strip the PPF where you’d apply it. PPF is not supposed to be permanent, some super strong adhesives are.
I live in a county in California that really doesn’t enforce the front plate law, that’s why my front plate is in my trunk ;-)

I installed a bracket using the honeycomb grill. I used something similar on my F80 M3 from another company and it works well without having to drill or stick anything. The bracket and plate is fit and secure. It may slightly decrease airflow but for street driving it did not create any issues for me. Just another option I decided to go with.

I can also recommend this bracket. Have had it since I bought the car and have no complaints.

I have the Sto N Sho, this is the third one I’ve owned on three different Mustangs/Shelbys. No issues and they have always responded quickly to any questions I had. By the way three years ago it was only a $75 fine. I had VA Sate Trooper pull me over just because I didn’t have the plate mounted properly on the bumper. It was on my dash. LOL
