I am in Nor-Cal, and I was looking to buy a GT500 in February. I went through the internet sales channel and made it very clear I was ready to buy. I shared the details on my trade (19 GT350 4,200 miles). They all came back with ADM of $10k or more and low balled my trade (less than $50k). I...
I ended up going with a 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 with the manual. It was spec'd relatively light on options which made it appealing. The flat 6 has nice linear power delivery and the the chassis feels very planted. I was considering the Spyder, but really like having the power top.
I have had two...
Ended up going with a Porsche. Ford dealers in California would not budge on price, Surprisingly they were lower on trade value for my 350. When i posed the question about markup vs resale, the Ford guys seemed perplexed.
Loved my 350, but the Ford dealership experience in California is a...
First deal fizzled out. Original markup of $10k. They were willing to reduce the markup to $9k over.
Of course they lowballed me on my trade which is a 2019 with tech pack, handling pack, carbon dash. 4,200 miles.
We shall see how things go. The markups I am finding here in the Bay Area are anywhere from $20k to $50k over. I will be patient and wait for a deal to materialize. Perhaps with the 2021 order book open, dealers will relent some on the 2020s.
As the thread title states, I am considering moving to the 500. My 350 is a 2019 with the Handling an Tech packages, and I have no complaints. It is a great car. That said, I am really interested in a 500 with the CF package. I would miss the manual in the 350, but I do recognize and...
Road trip to Tahoe this weekend for the Duran Duran show. The car was fun up in the mountains (minus construction delays),and I was able to due a loop around the lake on Saturday which was scenic. On my way back today, I got caught in a pretty hard rain storm for an hour or so which made me...
I tried to buy one from them back in July. They wouldn't budge, and the GMs tone in his email communication was rude and terse. I was returning as a previous customer that had purchased a 2012 GT500 from them. I ended up taking my business elsewhere.
Nightmare experience.
I hear you, but comparing magazine times is tough. Tests with different drivers 5 years apart etc. Also if if you look at magazine tests, specifically C&D, the M2 demolished the E92s Lightning Lap time as did the old Gt500.
I love the E92s. My buddy had one at the same time I had my 2012...
Another recent test from C&D got better numbers. 119 trap speed is no joke.

Prior to owning my Shelby, I had a M2 DCT. The early magazine test for those had some really fast times...
