I Agree. I used to not like the fox's, hate the melted lozenges, and the new edge's were...ok. the 2005 redeux was amazing. the S550 is just..... O.O .... best thing since 72 imo. Granted, as I have gotten older, the fox's have grown on me alot. the new edges have fallen slightly minus the special models (mach, Cobra R....don't care for the 2003+cobra in looks....) and the melted lozenge mustangs are still just......blah.
that's pretty good actually, never heard that one before :cwl: as a melted lozenge owner and lover, they're certainly not for everyone, and even i agree they definitely need some help in the looks and power department to get to the "wow" factor territory. the 98 bright atlantic blue cobras were one of my favs. looking back to vehicle styling of the 90's really shows how everyone was all about the bubble look. i saw a 90s ford Taurus recently that really made this apparent. EVERYTHING seemed to be oval shaped in one way or another.

as for the OP question, if i could only pick 1, id have to go Parnelli Jones Boss 302. i think ford really hit it out of the park with the S550 cars, but i like the 67-70 best. id have a hard time turning down a current gt350 though with all the current tech and amenities.

71' Mach 1. Land Yacht sized and oozes cool. Especially if you've ever seen the original gone in 60 seconds.
I second this just because my father has had one since new. 429CJ

I think you should restripe yours to match. And if anyone comes out with a NACA/NASA hood for the 21/22 mach, do like me and plan on changing it out!

I’ve looked into restriping, funny you mention it. It’s one of those back burner ideas that I’m debating.
I would be into someone doing that hood! I think the current heat extractors have some of that look already so I feel it would be a good look.

I agree with Pero. My '67, X-dry lake racer, 157 mph flying mile at El Mirage back in the '80's, 390 4 speed top loader w/4:11's, while the new cars are fast, this car was brutal. Basically all 427 internals without the cost of a side oiler block. This car scared the $hit outa me every time I drove it. Got to love the simplicity of earlier V8's, points, plugs, condenser, and set the timing, ooo and the sound. Also some pics of my FFR 427 replica, you say it doesn't belong, check out the 5.0, bone stock with 3:55 gears, car ran high 12's because it only weighed 2200#, fun, but no roof limits travel distance due to weather fears. To me, it was a rebodied Mustang, quicker than most and dead reliable.

Gotta be the modern GT350R. Most badass attitude of a Mustang since day 1.
