Bearing noise on cold start

Hey guys im just wondering what oil y'all use during the winter months. The cars making some bearing noise on first start up that goes away after the engine warms up. Not rod knock or anything just a slight crackle

I'm not sure if the motocraft 5w20 is providing enough protection for initial start up.

Thinking to switch over to amsoil, next cycle.

Not going to take it to the dealership because they wont be able to replicate the issue without keeping the car for a few days...

I 'm not saying this is the cure. But I had a slight rattle on start up with my 18 GT. I switched over to 5W30 full synthetic and MY problem was solved.

Are you sure it's just not noise created in the exhaust while running rich on a cold start? My 17GT, especially after the install of a h-pipe, has a louder crackle sound in the exhaust when started cold until the engine warms a little. You never said where you live but if I start my car in below freezing weather, using 5w-20 conventional oil as I do, it makes no difference in the sound until the engine warms a little or I guess until the o2 sensors come online. As long as the spec on the back of the conventional oil meets Ford's for the weight it uses I'm happy. If I was using my car year round, in the -35's we get here, I might be temped to use a synthetic.
