I wouldn't trust the battery. My super duty went dead instantly. So fast that I had wiring problems. Started the truck went HD picked up some lumber. Started up again drove for 20 mins. Went to a friend's for an hour
Wouldn't start even on a jump. I thought mice must have eaten the wiring. Tested the batt 8volts Put a brand new interstate in it and bam all better. Haven't had a problem. Stock batts suck.

That's funny because I only run Motorcraft batteries in my truck, and both, without fail, die just before the 3 year warranty. I've paid nothing for 7 years worth of batteries now. Which, last go round, was north of $300 a battery.

Mine does something similar, but I narrowed it down to if I lock the car with the key fob, I'll get the Ford Pass alert maybe in 2 hours or 2 days. If I lock it at the door handle with my finger it won't alert. My car is mostly driven on the weekends. Does the alarm activate if locked at the door handle? I have the security system.
Wow! As a matter of the i set the ford pass on my apple phone hours before getting the notification? I did recheck battery voltage after running headlights for 19 seconds 12.43v?

I have a 2017 with the original battery. I used to drive it regularly before covid but not now because I work from home. Last year I started seeing the Battery Save mode alert a couple of times. So I put a trickle charger on it and the message went away.

Next I popped the caps on the battery and noticed that several of the cells were low on water. So I topped them all up with distilled water. I've had no more Battery Saver mode notifications since doing that. Also I have stopped using the battery tender.

Batteries go bad but there are things you can do to make them last.

I had no idea you could add water to OEM batteries.

Yep! There really is no such thing as a maintenance free battery. If it is not a gel cell or an AGM battery you should be able to service them. Wear gloves and don't touch bare skin or your clothes. Removing the caps exposes you to Battery acid and it can hurt you.

As far as batteries go, what I have observed is that the Ford OEM batteries are allot better than ones Toyota and Honda use.

I get the same info on my app if I leave the car in the garage and fob in range and leave it unlocked. If I lock the car I NEVER get that notification. I’m not sure if it does something to put it in a sleep type mode or what. If I leave the car unlocked I get that message in a day or 2.

One other thing I want to throw out as a possibility is that there was a Sync update. I just got my 2022 a couple weeks ago now, and have gotten deep sleep and battery saver notifications through the Ford Pass app. Deep sleep came after a sync update and battery saver came after I disconnected the battery to check if I had the updated T50 securing my steering wheel. Either issue prevented the remote features.

Distilled water can also be found at CVS/Walgreens and at Menards (in bulk) I mix it with anti-freeze when doing a cooling system service. So handy stuff to have around
