Hey all,

The last battery I got was from Napa auto parts. I don’t know exactly what kind of battery it was, my mechanic called me and told me my battery was not holding a charge. That was in October 2023. So when that happened the battery that was in there was the battery that came with the car in 2019. Since I’ve had the Bapa auto parts battery, I always keep it on a battery tender. Lately, it’s been dying on me if I leave the door open too long. What type of batteries are you guys running?

I just searched around the forum and found someone asking the same recently. In that thread people were talking about the "BMS" (Battery Management System). I had no idea about this. If my last battery was never reset, maybe that's why it's acting like it's going bad. I keep my battery on a tender constantly. I'm gonna go try this....

I did it. If it works great. If not I’ll go with a duralast gold.

I just get whatever they sell at the auto parts store. They seem to be all AGM batteries now days. There isn't gunna be much of a difference between brands if the prices are similar. I personally wouldn't worry about what brand it is unless it's extremely cheap or if I'm needing a battery that can handle a lot of current or needs a lot of cold cranking amps. (Diesel truck). The standard batteries are very similar.

I have several vehicles and i use Interstate batteries. I'm on my 3rd battery from Ford in my maverick only because they're free. Soon as the warranty is up I'm going to buy Interstate for it.
