I have a base gt and want to swap out my shocks and struts to pp ones to better perform with my steeda springs. Can i just directly swap these? Is there anything else i need or need to know?

Unless you already have the PP dampers, I'd save a little bit of extra money and get a real upgrade in both handling and ride with the Ford Performance Track dampers. These are all direct swap.

IDK if its even worth the labor for used PP shocks. Ford Performance shocks OTOH would make a big difference.

Swap isn’t hard, 3 to 4 hours, maybe less with a lift. Worth it, I guess to each his own. I have 2016 GT PP with 17K miles on it, had Ford Performance street springs installed when I bought the car. Handles good in my opinion, downside is they only have 17K miles on them And this past week when I was doing an oil change noticed the passenger side strut leaking heavily, so much so that it’s dripping fluid onto the front rim barrel. So, long story short Steeda Shocks and Struts are on the way and will be installed shortly.

Boom. My PP shocks started leaking at 8k miles — and this was when paired with the PP springs.

If you got a used set for free I would chuck them. Save up for a real upgrade and don’t duplicate install labor and alignment costs.

Have to go with the consensus here.

Though if your current shocks are already leaking or otherwise 'toast' I suppose it wouldn't hurt to install the freebies until you can put the funds together to get something decent.

It's one of those things where the labor isn't that bad, but the gains are not worth the labor. They are measurable and noticeable, but pale in comparison to a better setup as mentioned before. Do it once and do it right.
