I gathered that the PP2 cars (and presumably the Shelby cars) have special brake boosters...but do the PP1 and the base car share the same part?

I'm asking because I have a nearly brand new set of Brembos, pads and dust shields waiting to go on my base car...trying to think if I need anything else.

I apologize if this has been covered. I've been striking out with the search feature today!

Ford Performance offers the PP1 Brembo upgrade for all non-Shelby Mustangs. You’re fine with the one you have.

Thanks, guys!
That's exactly what I was hoping to hear.

Now to select a performance brake fluid...any favorites here?

According to Terry Fair at Vorshlag Motorsports they tried running the 6-piston front upgrade with the base booster and master cylinder and it was not the same performance.

I've had my base GT with brembos on the track for 5 or 6 track days, with zero issues. It's pretty well agreed that vorschlag's issues were with the brake compound imbalance and not the MC.

Thanks to all, once again.
So, problem or not, it sounds like the booster is different after all?

Which pads are you using?

On track, I run the stock performance pack pads up front, and powerstop Z26 pads out back. The fronts are not quite up to the task, and I'll be getting new pads soon. The rears appear fine still. Rotor temps at the end of the session are 450-500f out back, 800+ up front after a cooldown lap.
Braking acceleration on 255/40/19s PS4S tires is over 1g.

On the street I run Z26 all around to cut down on dust. They're significantly less grabby than the stock pads.

The booster is the same, however the master cylinder is different, Ford even has different master cylinder for a PP car over a base car. The GT350 shares the same master cylinder as the base model car though.
