i am having an issue with my car shutting off, i have started to narrow down the problem which it involves my brakes/braking. I am not 100% sure how a brake booster works but based off things I am reading this is causing issues to my car attempting to shut off while i press the brakes. My vacuum lines are a mess which i need to redo, the line to the brake booster does have a long attachment because i didn’t have a barb fitting to connect both hoses. (Car is a procharged car with a built motor and recently built transmission)

The backside of the brake booster is sealed, the front side is exposed to vacuum but only when movement of the brake pedal opens the valve causing the entire diaphragm to push on the brake hydraulics along with the brake pedal. In my experience, a stall or hesitation on hitting the brakes is usually a leak in that brake booster causing the vacuum assist to become a large vacuum leak on operation.

You should take an oil sample before you end up with a total engine replacement. Low booster assist is the first sign of impending engine failure. Hopefully not your issue but speaking from experience.
i really would hate for this to be the issue. I had literally just installed this motor on my GT, i’ll for sure do an oil sample to check what is going in

would you suggest carb cleaner on the brake booster and see if it cuts off? I already disconnected the line and there is vacuum and it’s pretty strong

It's the brake booster side you have to test, pull vacuum on it and test for big leaks, then do the same while actuated.
