I thought about this idea, but the dampers alone are worth the money IMO.

Taking into account the type of shocks you're getting, plus the cost of the cooling components, plus the cost of having them installed, plus you're more than likely going to void warranty if you install something yourself, I say the track pack is a pretty good choice.
Did they just release the build for the gt350, and not building r's in the winter months?

The Base GT350 is a 2012/13 Boss302LS on steroids, why would you need to spend more $$$. With the rear seat removed the base is only about 50lbs more than an R.

Take the extra money save, and buy better performance parts, like a turbo, NOS, 4:10 gears etc................. You'll be eating up "R" on the street. LOL

I'm coming from a 2013 boss so I got the base black no stripes @ $49995 MSRP. Building it tomorrow and it's local so no travel. Happy as a lark.

Make your decision on this:

Road: If your going to use the car on the road as a daily driver than you cannot beat the MR suspension, the ride will be stunning on the road, not harsh, not crashing and not over firm as it self adjust to the road and your driving style. Then when you start to push it auto adjust or you can set it to track mode. So if your going to use the car on road, MR all day, everytime!

Track: If this is just going to be a track car then you can do better than the MR suspension, $6500 would buy you some of the best coilovers, stuff like KW Clubsport, Ohlins, AFe, Penske, JRZ to name a few for around $5000 which when correctly setup will offer a very slight edge over the MR on track. Problem is road will be firm and harsh, yes you can manually adjust them to be softer, but its not as easy as pressing a button like in the MR.

So for me if this was a car being converted into a track weapon I'd buy a base, strip it out, add coilover, massive front splitter, massive rear wing, shorter final ratio for better acceleration, roll cage, lighter and wider wheels with some Michelin cup 2's in the 350R sizes and go beating 350R's at the track in your lighter even more focused GT350. ;)

But if you want to enjoy it on the road, seriously get the MR suspension, as a total package its unbeatable. :)

Yes I'm about to pull the trigger on only a base model. I always tend to modify all of my cars I own and track them. This means no track pack, no magnetic suspension, nothing! I can get the cooling for the diff, trans and power steering hell of a lot cheaper than $6500 (track pack option) Anyone else going this route to save some $$?
I've got a base 900A on order. White car, black roof....thats it. My logic was pretty simple....drop $46 on a decked out 5.0 or, for another few grand get the Voodoo....why WOULDNT you go with the GT350???

Some are making this decision solely on what they can afford.
Nothing wrong with that, as you can add the mods as you can afford them.
But if you can add the track pack or Tech pack, I say do it.
For 90% of people, that will be far more than they can handle anyway.
Also you might buy coil overs for 5k, but there is more.
And not everyone can install, it doesn't take long to make 7-8 k
and still not as capable as this car from the factory.

I think if you were going for a decked out 5.0, you really wanted those features, otherwise you'd go for the bare bones GT. However, this is a car that makes you choose what's really important to you when it comes down to it. If that was your situation, and you made that jump, then this car made you prioritize things differently. Either way, congratulations man!

Plus the risk of coilovers and tweaking suspension components, etc... is a manufacturer warranty void. But then again, those that will do that likely expects to throw away the warranty anyway. To each their own... for me I know I wouldn't go down that path.

Does your base 350 have the two Gauges in the center of the dash above the radio area ? Thanks.
Also can you post a few pictures .....you have the same car I ordered.

I got an email from svtgt350 and he said it does have the gauges. Good we can put this to bed. They needed to be there. Oil temp and pressure needs to be a constant read out.
