i cut mine a tad bit short too...the end that goes onto my race valve piping is barely reaching over the bead of the pipe.. i put on about 1200ish miles without it popping off, but it's constantly a worry in my mind. I might have to order this and swap it in winter.

Mine actually does this as well.. After driving it around then stopping for a bit, when i start the car, it sounds as if it's about to die out, but it never does. It only lasts maybe a second, then the rpm's jump up where they should be.

I'm always reading zero knock. When i did have knock after my blower install, it was because i forgot to tighten down my strut bar. Since i fixed that, i've never been over zero.
