Ball joint failure

Has anybody heard of any s550s have a ball joint fail. Mine did in my gt350.

Seen this happen a lot with my 3G TL. At least it wasn't like this...

What made you check? I have a noise up front now I'll have to look.

what did it sound like? I hear a rattle like something isn't sitting properly when i hit a bump from the front.

I did not check per say. Pulled out of a parking spot and car was steering all crazy. Ford regional manager sent somebody out Along with my insurance adjuster today. Preliminary findings are that the rack and pinion failed. When my left front wheel was moving around like crazy it bent my tie rod and broke ball joint seal. I am not all that mechanical but I'm learning about this as I go. Ford needs a few extra days to come up with a final decision . Will update when I know.

Wait why your insurance adjuster? did you wreck did it do damage when it broke>?

They are trying to determine if Fords part failed (rack and pinion) otherwise my insurance will cover it. (Pothole). My insurance will help me go after Ford if they feel that part failed and Ford won't man up.
