When you did the restore file did you just click the restore file and hit write, or did you hold and do a normal/full/ or restore stock calibration?

I’m doing same boosted full exhaust will check fluids my selfi have the same year mustang with the same recall order. my car is also tuned due to LTH and CAI. i will not take my car into ford to have this repaired due to the fact that i do not need a light to tell me that the brake fluid is low. i am fully aware of my cars fluid levels. i would not dich the tune , for me i can not go back to stock because the car would not function. IMO
negative. They can indeed overwrite the PCM as needed. This is how you get a stock tune if the car needs to be flashed by someone else or if the PCM is somehow bricked - but not hardware failed.
I know for a complete FACT this is possible.
I took my 2016 Mustang GT in to the local Ford dealership today to get a backup key fob programmed. They tried but said something about inability to connect to IDS and asked if I had a Lund Racing tune installed. I said I do, it's Lund's 91-93 octane one. Ford then told me they can't program the other key fob until it is removed so the encryption it does is removed. I may not have the details spot-on but the broad strokes are there. Bad part is that I do not have a factory/stock tune to re-install when removing the Lund tune since my car came with an E85 tune and no tuner.IDS will ABSOLUTELY connect to a Lund tuned car without going back to stock first.
I have the ford performance tune in my ecoboost and was also told by a ford dealer that they cannot do the recall unless it has the factory stock tune. I cannot return to the stock tune because the FP tune for ecoboost only will not allow the owner the ability to do so with the FP program.I took my 2016 Mustang GT in to the local Ford dealership today to get a backup key fob programmed.
