Op Just checked mine for you mine is a 2016 auto with only 5000 KMs and yes it has the same play as your video approx. 5mm so I would suggest it is normal !

That play looks normal. It would be nice to see zero movement since this auto shifter doesn't have a side slot for +/- "manual" shifting (please Ford, add this to accompany the paddle shifters), but wouldn't worry about what you see in the video.

OK brother, I just went and jiggled the wife's........shifter that is. :) You're OK. It moves the same amount.

Please Ford don’t! Quicker to slam into Sport by just pulling straight back.

I wouldn't want them to give up sport - sport is different than +/- mode, as it changes shift points.

I'm currently driving a car in this configuration, and it's nice to bump the stick to the right and shift with either the stick or paddles (actually quite fun with a 6spd dual clutch).
