Hey guys I have a 2021 mustang Gt automatic and recently I’ve noticed the shifter assembly being a little clunky and stiff feeling when I switch through PRNDS especially between park and reverse. I understand some of it is wear and tear but I have a feeling the little chain belt or whatever it is might be missing a little bit of grease or lubrication? Question is what grease do I use and how do I apply it. I highlighted it in

if anyone has an idea of what else it could be I would appreciate it.

If you park on a hill and don’t engage the parking brake it’ll be super stiff. But if it’s all the time, even on a flat surface it could be a greasing issue. That’s my guess though. I’m sure someone would be able to chime in about it.

I park on flat spaces usually, oh and i usually enganche the parking brake but that’s after I put it into park so I don’t think that’s an issue, it might be greasing but not sure who can one to use or what other issues it could be, but thanks!

I'd try hitting it with some silicone spray. Quick, easy and not too messy. If it helps then you can consider grease and,if not, you'll know to look farther.
My '18 is at 105k and no shifter issues at all.
