My car was produced 6/16 and it will NOT work on mine. The voltages are different. I'm not exactly sure where cutoff is for the voltage change, but it will definitely not work on some MY 17's.

I talked to Andres a few weeks ago and he is still working on an updated model to work with the new voltages. Soon I hope...

Interesting...it worked flawlessly on my '16 GT350. The doubts were about the '17 compatibility. Check your connections again with a voltage meter.

Are we 100% positive the voltages of the 350 and R are the same? I would assume they are, but it is strange that a 17' R (electronics package) works as intended but not a 17' 350. I wonder if there's something in the wiring to accomplish the Convenience packages/Electronics Packages in the upgraded 17' 350s as opposed to the R?

I am using the same unit that was in my 16 GT350 with TP.

I'm absolutely positive. I can't definitively speak to the R's but almost certain any 17 350 built on or after 6/6/16 will not work with the current generation AutoBlip. I worked with Andres(the developer of AutoBlip) to troubleshoot mine, and yes, with a voltmeter...

I emailed Andres a few days ago about an ETA for units that would work with 17's and this is what he said:

We are finding out more and more 2017 GT350s that work with our current production unit.

There is a somewhat simple test that can be done to find out if your vehicle is compatible. It does require the use of a simple digital voltage meter.

The procedure goes as follow:

1) Disconnected the accelerator pedal connector from the pedal. This is done by gently sliding up the red locking clip on the connector. Then the connector can be remove by pressing on the release clip while at the same time gently sliding upwards the connector.

2) Turn the ignition on, do not start the engine.

3) Set the voltage meter to measure DC voltage. Connect the black lead of the meter to a bare metal surface under the dash (ground).

4) Use a small paper clip or a sewing needle to reach inside the connector pins in order to measure the voltage at the specified locations (see below, pin A and F) using the red lead from the voltage meter.

The measured voltage will be one of the following, 5v or 12v. If you measure 5v, then the standard production AUTO-BLiP will work with your 2017 GT350.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

This thread gets bumped once in a while... The more I drive my car the more I think it's not needed.

I had auto-blip on my boss swapped coupe because even though I had swapped the SN pedal set into it, heal toe was a little far apart....I could have probably swapped pedal covers, too but the pedal height was also a little strange and I never got around to tuning that part of it before I sold the car.

FF to today - I'd encourage everyone to practice their heel-toe. I admit, it's hard to do when on the street and you're not REALLY in the brakes but it's very enjoyable when you start to be able to pull it off every time. This car is pretty easy compared to my coupe and others cars I've had.

All that said - the AB, did work really well in the coupe and it certainly made a huge difference on-track - I could focus on everything else.

Did I read somewhere.. maybe in the guts of this thread previously.. auto blip doesn't actually rev match but just generically blips throttle?

I'm assuming you can dial in the amount of throttle etc? Does this mean you have to adjust it based on driving situation?

That is very helpful. I talked to Andres about a month ago about the AB for my 2017 R. He said at that time that he did not think the existing AB would work on ay '17 gt350s. But, he was working on a refreshed AB. I have some hope that I can measure my voltage and order an AB now that will work. I lack patience.

He was basing that off of feedback from the field. In fact, I tested out the new 12v prototype and it did not work as well. I retested the signals and found it was a connection issue. I re-installed my original unit and it works like a charm.

Let's use logic here. The differences between the GT350 and GT350R, as well as the various years, has no impact on the function of the pedal sensor to the ECU - what happens after the signal is received may be different. Ford would not go through the trouble of changing this system for no real reason...especially when it works well.

Do you still have the wire taps connected in your car and setup to plug in the AutoBlip?

I've got SRP pedals (have them in any performance car I own) and I find that, with them, there's no need to add an additional spacer to bring the loud pedal forward.
I have the SRP gas pedal installed on my car and would agree with you that it brings the pedal height up to about the same as putting in the spacer below the pedal assembly. The guy selling the pedals is a super nice guy and it's a high quality part.
