Does the mustang have some kind of shift gate sensors too? Because one thing the GT4 did was detect which gear you're going to not just that you're shifting down. You don't have to touch the brake at all if you are just coasting down or want to pass someone hard on the street.
+1, this was what stopped me from getting the auto blip. I decided instead to invest in the garagline spacer, a better set of driving shoes and to work on my heel toe.

Hell no! Ford would have had to invest much more in R&D to implement a decent dual clutch xmsn the likes of the PDK. I am very happy the chose they Tremec. #Savethemanuals

The GT4 he's talking about is a proper manual... except it's got sensors to detect what gear you're about to place it in.

This is correct. Totally normal transmission with one of the best factory clutch and shifters I've ever used. The rev matching is so freaking perfect. You just hit clutch drop gear and go while giggling like a school girl from the crackling noises the exhaust just made. Also the single piece fixed seats are very supportive and are super comfortable. The active exhaust is ok but I dont know why youd ever want it quiet. Its a track car with fixed seats, why would you want to muffle it :-).

I put in an auto-blip last wk I mainly drive on the street and no issue's what so ever I also have the garageline spacer. I had to adjust it for street driving so maybe I'll make some marks for both street and track.

The only slight annoyance is coming to a stop or slow roll'n moving around only in 1st gear pushing brake and clutch the throttle blips when not needed.

When cruising slowly to a stop or turn, you should just put it neutral ahead of time so you are only using the brakes to slow to a stop. Then release the brake and put back into first.

I doubt it. When I hooked up my AIM data logger and the Mustang profile, it did not recognize the gear selection. This is the reason it was not in my videos on the dash layout.

What's a 'garageline spacer' and what can it have to do with shifting? All I can find are wheel spacers.

Norm
Spacer for accelerator to put it closer to the same plane as the brake facilitating the heel toe throttle blip

Lex may be referring to driving in slow-moving, almost stop-and-go, traffic. It's not always necessary to use any throttle to just keep moving more or less "with the flow".

If you aren't coming to a full stop you should be in some gear (preferably one that doesn't cause 'lugging'). Not 'coasting' in neutral with the clutch engaged. Maybe this is something that the Auto-blip people need to work on.

Thanks. Is this where the pedal is mounted to the body? Trying to distinguish it from anything you might attach to the accelerator pedal pad.

I can (almost) see this on one the track. Everyday driving I can see this being annoying particularly if you have been driving manual cars for a long time.

I love the idea it just seems clumsy based on the available sensors. Id be interested to see who still uses it on the street after a few months.
