How about 6+ weeks between VIN and build date. I got my VIN on the 1st September and still waiting for my window sticker let alone build date.
Ian.
Got my VIN August with segmentation(build) of 24 Aug & ETA 31 Oct.(New ETA Dec 12 from dealer). Rang Ford customer service in the states last night, got onto a helpful person ,I quickly told her my situation ,she was able to come up on my VIN and tell me my car is scheduled to be built 22 Oct (this explains why no ETIS info for me)and also ETA 3 Dec (which does not seem possible to me). I will see if info appears on ETIS soon.

These are the exact dates my dealer gave me last week. Having said that I don't expect the car till January.

Humungus...January sounds more likely than December....besides nothing happens around Christmas time....more people are on holidays then than any other time of the year...expecting customs, dealers etc to do any work from mid December through January is pointless.

I think that sentence is a little more accurate now!

Well I got a very pleasant surprise this morning.

After being issued with my VIN 2 months ago, my window sticker showed up today

So progress finally albeit extremely slowly. My last dealer update (about 2 weeks ago) was that I am still scheduled for a Dec 2015 delivery although I had slipped a week (from Dec 5 to Dec 12).

Just checked ETIS but nothings changed there; still no build date and still really no idea what is going to happen and by when

Anyone have any ideas how long the gap between the two is (or should be)

I've also dropped a note to Deshya last week out of sheer frustration at seeing nothing for 2 months - no reply yet but hoping when I do that she's able to share a bit more detail.

BTW - saw this thread http://www.mustang6g.com/?p=7649 - damn thats a good looking vert (and kinda what I'm looking to do :headbang:)

And the wait goes on.......

I received my VIN about three weeks before the build date (however this was delayed due to dealer incompetence.

I have a pagemonitor alert (chrome extension) set up for the window sticker and that showed up a week before build.

The day of the build date etis updated with the build date in place.

A couple of days later all the minor features were populated onto etis.

Now I am just waiting to see what is next.

I was also advised delivery on 5th of December

Etis will change about 4-6 days after your build date to reflect actual build date and will then list about 3 pages of build specs. Then it will probably change again about a week later when they add stuff at the bottom of your last page about front and rear springs and also add in "sports front seat"
Just keep taking the panadol in the meantime
Cheers

I just receive a PM back from Deysha today, She confirmed that my car went into production yesterday and gave me a link to my window sticker.

Pretty pumped right now, feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Whilst I am pumped cars are built I have this cold rage against ford au when I see all these March ordered cars with dec delivery dates and even jan. my car was ordered early February and I don't even have a fucking vin number....as I said earlier there were about 5 dealer staff talking about the cars they ordered for themselves once pricing was announced I would bet cash these cars are all being delivered this year and were ordered later than feb

It is almost and I am talking bees dick away from being enough to sell the car day 1 and get a merc or bmw....

Hi Melbnut,
If you want to talk to Ford Au directly ring 133673 (during Mon to Frid) and ask for Shahni Bartley. She is a Customer Service Representative.
Ian.

I too have noticed people with orders around the same time as myself or even after, getting their cars built now with December delivery dates and can only assume that their dealers did not have many others on their wait list. However this doesn't explain all the other varying order dates and delivery dates. I am sure however that when your car does arrive (whenever that is) you will enjoy it too much to consider selling it and all your frustration and anger at this current ordering and delivery system will disappear. I too can't wait but have decided that I can't speed up the delivery any faster than what it is (even though I would love an explanation from Ford Australia as to why all this shit is going on). I am sure once I get mine that everything will be forgotten and I will just enjoy the car.

That makes sense and I agree with you, but it doesn't make me any less dissapointed in ford au

Hi Melbnut. I have to say that reading these forums produces all sorts of emotions, excitement when someone gathers some new information and shares it with us all, envy for those getting their cars before us, though actually now I'm quite happy for them and would like to see a few Mustang's on the road, and lots of frustration and annoyance with not knowing what's happening, or even what the final spec will be, and what goodies we are not getting compared to the LHD model now being produced.

I've been on the Ford's Mustang email list since the early days, and actually the Ford US list as well - I think I have received maybe 1 or 2 emails from them. Surely someone at Ford AU can see what a great marketing opportunity this is, to have a halo car that will get people into their dealerships. Surely they can delegate someone in marketing to monitor these threads and send out emails, even if the emails says we don't know but will give you the answer as soon as they find out! Any official information is better than silence.

My current car's lease ends in December and I've finally decided that I'll pay it out and keep it until the Mustang arrives. Like others, I've given up getting frustrated, just patiently waiting. But if people ask, I'm not being a great advertisement for Ford, quite the opposite. And that's a lost opportunity for them!

But you know what, we are gonna love that car! (waiting on a triple yellow GT convertible, waiting, waiting..........)
