So no butt dyno improvement? I always think the sound makes me think I am going faster haha
The butt dyno tells me I need to drive it harder. Must hear exhaust...

And takes it out on Streetfighter :paddle::paddle::paddle:
to be fair on that front I don't blame him. having bought their gear for my ss, their mustang prices are ridiculous

edit: he's not good with subtlety though I'll give you that

Finally decided to stop procrastinating and made the call on the exhaust.
Magnaflow competition Catback with black tips, ordered Thursday and was fitted up this morning. It is absolutely awesome!! I have sore cheeks from smiling so hard all the way home, I took the very long way. In my mind this is what the car should have sounded like when I picked it up, not obnoxiously loud, nice and deep, and at light throttle cruising very acceptable amount of noise in the cabin, for me.

Just made a utube channel and trying to upload a video from the go pro attached to the boot lid. 1 min video = 120 mins remaining to upload, guess that is the price I pay for living in the sticks:)

Video doesn't do the sound justice, there is a bit of wind noise and camera rattle, or maybe it is just all those lose panels rattling .

If I can get a decent microphone hooked up to the gopro I will try to get the sound captured a but better. Big thumbs up to Wayne at Extreme Exhaust and Automotive in Penrith, the fit is perfect, good bloke to deal with, and he is a Mustang man.

Will post up a link once it is done uploading, only 114 mins to go:doh:

If the local exhaust shop you are considering has a bad rep, you may want to skip that option, or find another shop. Burning a wiring harness and chasing down exhaust leaks is gonna cost you a headache and much more money in the long run.

If you like the sound of your buddies axleback, our Competition catback may be just right for you. It will have the same look and similar sound, but since it is a more complete system, the changes will all be greater. This means the sound will be deeper and louder than the axle back version, and slightly better power gains too. The fact that the system comes with an X-pipe is a plus for most owners.

Since the system is a direct bolt on and comes with all the necessary hardware, it can be installed in an hour or two, even if you're a novice wrencher.
You were 100% right the competition catback was for me, sounds bloody awesome:thumbsup:

$2,000.00 fitted. $1,870.00 for the system $130.00 to fit.
If you have a hoist you can do it yourself pretty easily, but my days of crawling under cars up on stands are over.

Where did you get it fitted?
And what did you go with the stock exhaust?
