Do you mean there is another tune available? I kindof got turned off the whole thing when I heard it required the offroad pipes, havnt been following it closely after that..Just saying...![]()
Daz...with quad cams and vct, the coyote will never be lumpy no matter what the cams....the lumpy stuff is for single cam or sohc cams.....all the overlap and long duration is done at high rpms with the vct and tune as each cam changes independently...idles will always be smooth ...unfortunately....unless you mess with the fuel and timing like the ghost cam...which may sound fun, but is pointless in practicality...I would like a "mild" cam tune not too lumpy.....Theyre so lumpy I will be back to shaking the windows at home again...
For the cost of doing four cams for the power it will give I'd be happy with a ghost cam tune. I would like a tougher idle not so much chop but just a few stutters as such (older muscle car sound) after putting a lot of $$$ under the bonnet of my ls2 to end up with 450rwhp I wish I had of just gone for a blower at the same price. I would ultimately like 700rwhp with FI but also with a slight lump at idleDaz...with quad cams and vct, the coyote will never be lumpy no matter what the cams....the lumpy stuff is for single cam or sohc cams.....all the overlap and long duration is done at high rpms with the vct and tune as each cam changes independently...idles will always be smooth ...unfortunately....unless you mess with the fuel and timing like the ghost cam...which may sound fun, but is pointless in practicality...
So no butt dyno improvement? I always think the sound makes me think I am going faster hahaI just installed my Borla S Type axle back last night, it sounds absolutely amazing compared with stock in conjunction with blanking off the symposer. It can be really aggressive when you are on it, but quiet as a mouse at cruise.
Yeah, I know there is no performance benefit to an axle back - I did mine purely for the sound and am very happy with the result.
Herrod motorsport does a pretty good lumpy cam set for the old 5.4 dohc and many people have seen good power increase as well. Hopefully they bring out something similar coyote.Daz...with quad cams and vct, the coyote will never be lumpy no matter what the cams....the lumpy stuff is for single cam or sohc cams.....all the overlap and long duration is done at high rpms with the vct and tune as each cam changes independently...idles will always be smooth ...unfortunately....unless you mess with the fuel and timing like the ghost cam...which may sound fun, but is pointless in practicality...
I wonder what sort of costs though to do a quad cam changeover??? My old LS2 was about $3000Herrod motorsport does a pretty good lumpy cam set for the old 5.4 dohc and many people have seen good power increase as well. Hopefully they bring out something similar coyote.

There's just one example, if that helps give a rough idea.
I'll leave you to work out exchange rate costs + shipping + install/tune etc![]()

Ok do tell about Yuvi....I read the jokes BUT don't know the history....I need more infoProbably pocket change for Yuvi![]()
