Any source for that? I've been looking at a pro charger 800hp kit but I'd buy a Ford racing one if I knew they'd warrant them.
Apparently it was in a bulletin that was sent around to dealers in November. It hasn't been publicly released yet but is coming.

The parts have to be purchased from the Ford Australia dealer network to be eligible, if you buy them yourself from overseas it will void warranty.

Since the exhaust topic kind-of resurfaced on here again, and Mustangs are actually appearing on our roads, could anyone with aftermarket exhausts on their Mustangs please comment on their experiences on the streets.

The usual volume/tone verdict, and any problems with defects for noise etc and Locations. Should paint a better picture of the actual volumes of certain exhaust systems and what is deemed reasonable on our roads.

I realise it might take a few weeks living with the exhaust before people can give their opinion, but just putting the question out there!

Thanks

After MUCH exhaust research I think I may push the button on a Magnaflow Street...My reasons...bare in mind I want Deep note, not stupid loud, No rasp, and as close to no drone.....SO

My short list,

I love the Corsa AB's (touring) great sound but for the price I'd prefer a catback (Corsa sport catback getting on the loud side)

Steeda Axle backs- tick the box's but not a full catback but well priced, great if you just want a nice note,

MF Competition sounds awesome but there will be a little drone? still considering though..

So the Magnaflow street Sounds great, its deep, it has no drone, its a full 3" catback very well made and from a company that has been doing exhausts for ever, It will support any future mods of either Full bolt ons or FI, IF its a tad quite i'm 100% sure that a decent set of extractors and cats will make it sound absolutely sweet...

I made the mistake of putting a catback on my VE R8 that was at the limit of where I like the volume then I did heads, cam, extractors etc and three catbacks later I settled on a Manta twin 3"... The MF I can get landed here for about $1600 off ebay :)

I would buy the MF now buy want to see what Di-fillipo, Manta etc etc come out with locally first, Ive got 9 months to get it right :)

That should sound good Daz.....I was contemplating the Magnaflow competition, but it appears to have a ton of drone. The Street will be much better. I have Magnaflow stuff on one of my cars at the moment and very happy with the quality.

Agree with all you said :) Im fairly certain the street will fit the bill initially and if maybe I want a tad more tone Ill do the extractors....I do love the ARH H pipe sound but feel with extractors down the track it will just be that bit too loud....yep I'm sounding like an old bloke lol...

Any set up you have will get significantly louder if you're planning on headers. Unless you wanna keep the factory suitcase.

I went with the Ford Racing Sport catback with black tips.... The borla S-Type seems to be popular, .... The FRPP sport is quite similar but from most comparisons i have heard of is a touch quieter and deeper tone than the Borla-SType. Which I am guessing will be a reasonable volume without attracting too much unwanted attention hopefully.

Plus I like the chiseled looking tips more than the borla rounded style. Packaging was great, had a quick inspect of the product which looks awesome! Then taped it back up for when I actually have the car to put them on ha!

Ive just found on previous cars the extractors and cats more changed the note (better less muffled) rather than made it too loud.

My old HSV ran a Manta system....loved the sound but I am getting older lol

I agree, my SS didn't get too much louder but changed the note substantially.

However after watching a million youtube videos and reading a thousand threads, headers seem to make the mustang much much louder

Edit: having said that, most of the guys in the states go with offroad pipes (no cats), so naturally that makes it a lot louder

That is true....They do seem to like it LOUD in the US of A.... Thats why im thinking start of a tad milder MF Street and grow into it...You can imagine what 4 catbacks cost me on my VE R8 to get it right :frusty::eyebulge:

I swear the VE was built to drone, even my full KPM droned on the highway. God did it sound good at WOT though.

Will be Corsa for me, Xtreme at this stage

Jayman33 from Hypermotive was really helpful, I cant remember the price off the top of my head, as I also purchased a JLT CAI but it was competitive compaired to other sites (he beat their prices). A little more expensive than the Borla S-type but i was happy to pay extra for the tips I like!

Give him a PM on these forums
