Jayman33 from Hypermotive was really helpful, I cant remember the price off the top of my head, as I also purchased a JLT CAI but it was competitive compaired to other sites (he beat their prices). A little more expensive than the Borla S-type but i was happy to pay extra for the tips I like!

Give him a PM on these forums
Thanks I'll give him a pm , the tips r much better with the chiselled cut & your right about the softer tone to this set up against the borla 's' type .
Having ordered a triple yellow gt I don't need anymore attention !!!!
From the police that is !!!!!!!!

I swear the VE was built to drone, even my full KPM droned on the highway. God did it sound good at WOT though.

Will be Corsa for me, Xtreme at this stage
The plastic boot floor didnt help:frusty: KPM do sound sweeeeeet and I would liken KPM as a Corsa type system....quality and more quality

Does anyone know (I've seen someone mention it somewhere) if there are different exhausts for the convertible GTs?

I'd probably leave my 'vert stock, but I thought I'd ask - it sounds weird.

That's not bad at all - definitely makes my short list... if/when I ever need a zorst for the Mustang.

Anyone like the Kooks?

That must be US dollars, so converted would be about $2350?

Just had a look back at some emails, Frpp sport was $1250 US with free shipping in the states. (I used a shipping forwarder to ship it to me). Wasnt a huge difference in the end on shipping cost, but was worth sussing it out. The weight/size is hard to get around !

Plus import duty and taxes.
Best Exhaust in Canberra at the moment is $2100 to your door, delivered in 7 days, I haven't been able to find anyone to beat them

Mine was a bit cheaper than that , but the dollar has dropped further since I bought mine, rotten miserable bastards :tsk:

I have posted a few photo's in another thread since my car has been delivered. However I thought I would share a couple more of the underside of the car, when my exhaust was being replaced.

Looks like the car has been undercoated black underneath. Particularly around the chassis. I believe this is only done on exported vehicles, and is probably a corrosion treatment.

IMO it looks 'half arsed'. Although the pics aren't great, you can see where part of the diff is painted, the exhaust is nearly all black, and the gearbox has overspray all over it.

Obviously a last minute paint job to comply with our import reg's. I know it's unlikely to be seen, however I was quite disappointed to see the finish underneath, on an otherwise amazing looking vehicle!:shrug:

Wow....I wonder if that is carried out at the docks like the Euro cars were. They had some issues with the chemicals that the USA were using for the corrosion treatment that was initially carried out before shipping. It is now carried out in Europe for the Euro cars.
I know we have some spraying for stinkbugs, but that is hideous.:eyebulge:

Any Australian companies offering x/ h pipes yet? That's all I want to replace, I'm quite happy with everything else. I'd grab one from CJ, but the postage is almost as expensive as the pipe itself... Would be much better if I could get one here in Australia.

If you're just looking to replace the suitcase with an H or X, you're better off going to a reputable exhaust workshop and having one custom fit.

If you are in Darwin try these guys www.palmerstonmechanic.com.au they are a Streetfighter dealer which is the system I'm having fitted to my car at the moment.
