I don't really care where the indicator stalk is but it would feel like a little 'win' for Australia to have it on the right side of the wheel.

Further to the diagrams in the owners manual, this pic in the brochure also shows it on the right I think;

Certainly there are other photoshopped pics in that brochure, but I can't imagine they'd reverse a blurry indicator stalk.

Well that settles it, the AU mustang can't tow. Audi S5 it is.
Well, it CAN tow, but anything bigger than a toy wagon is probably out, plus a tow ball on this car would just be weird.

I've been following the discussions and the conflicting advice on the forums, and can't make any sense of the ADRs.

Do we have a definite answer about the sequential lights?

Do you think the following might be legal:
- sequential red brake light: depress the brake, sequential lights starting from the inside out BUT must stay lit, i.e. ONE sequential sequence and then stay all on;
- sequential orange indicators, repeating sequence as long as the indicator is on.
any light that is used for a brake light MUST stay red while the brake pedal is pressed, which is why the outside one for us is the only indicator while the other 2 are brake lights.

... and having driven in the US where there are plenty of cars that share completely red tail lights for both braking AND indicating, it's really disconcerting to drive behind because you never know right away if the person in front is braking or turning.

Worse when they're braking before turning!

It's annoying. I don't think towing with a V8 is at all weird :p
And I'm sure there's some people that will be less inclined to trade in their Falcodore/HSV for a Mustang because of it.

I planned to put a towbar on so I could attach a bicycle carrier to the back - but it's less than a hundred kg total, so I don't see a problem there.

You know... top down, cruise to some nice place, go for a bike ride, stay the night, cruise back... what a great reason for the Mustang Convertible to exist!

yeah that does sound like the dream, unfortunately it's becoming that if you want to tow you need a big 4wd beast, and this is exactly why i'm keeping my SSZ ute, i need a vehicle to tow with.

i suppose you could always just chuck the bikes in the back seat, or get one of those stupid folding bikes. or get one of those carriers that attatch to the bootlid via straps, i find it funny how in the euro manual they say "DO NOT TOW WITH THIS CAR" and we get apparently the same car and yet we can tow.
