AU mod suppliers

So I have been looking about and seeing who will start to advertise Mustang mods, but as yet they are all still stuck on the HSV and FPR!

Of course custom work is always done, like exhausts and leather interiors. We do have some pretty amazing exhaust makers here in Oz.

I have heard Herrods are looking forward to working on our cars, but nothing listed like they do for the Falcons. The helped work on the last XR8 in case you are not aware. Think superchargers!

Myself, I am not wanting a 'pack' to make my car look and sound like a copy of what someone else thinks is the best setup, I want options to decide myself!
I don't want a warranty that waits for overseas parts, I don't want just a simple reseller, I want the manufacturer who understands their product from design to working! Call me a little pedantic, but thats how I am.

Oh and Mustang is now a global car, so please don't give me USA...USA... chant.. thanx

So please add here if anyone comes across someone who is dedicated to LOCAL manufacturing and service for our Mustangs.

streetfighter are pretty much top of the chain here in aus, but before long you'll find company's like harrop and such, eventually you'll see xforce exhausts and ebay turbo kits. but yeah, after the falcodore goes the way of the dodo, what options are the v8 mod scene going to go to? luxury car tax on the bmw's/mercs pretty much rules them out of the aftermarket scene.

I tend to think that the packs are not value for money - but for those who dont care about how much it costs. There is money to be saved by doing the mods separately.

Good luck for waiting for local manufacturers for Mustang mods - reality is that a bulk of the mods are going to have to come from the US. Ford will be giving us the option for Roush/Ford Performance upgrades and these will have some sort of warranty.

Embrace the fact that the Mustang is a grassroots American muscle car - its history is what makes this car so special.

No one understands the mustang better than the American's and their suppliers, and you just have to read the forums and posts from people like [MENTION=10893]David@Steeda[/MENTION], [MENTION=9985]BMR Tech[/MENTION] to know that they really know this car and their art back to front. To the point where BMR recommended a competitors product because it is better for certain drivers needs. To me that is something that should be commended because I haven't seen or read anything like it in Australia.

I challenge you to ask Kelly or David a question that they can't answer about the Mustangs suspension, this is just one aspect of the car.

Also the resellers you speak of have been incredibly helpful and have gone over and above to help, also its clear that due to the high competition for parts and lower minimum wage in the USA the prices are going to be cheaper than what we have to offer in Australia.

Just because it is made locally it doesn't mean that less thought has gone into the design or that it is inferior.

Personally I am striving for the best parts, I am not loyal to one manufacturer or location.

But I think you taken this the wrong way. I want options to choose from, never said that I was discounting US options and I never referred to any reseller on this forum at all. You cant quote me for one portion of that paragraph which was about what I was looking for here in Oz.

All I wanted was for info any local business that was developing and supporting the Mustang. We have the list of US suppliers, what's wrong with asking for Aussie ones too? I din't bring up the cost differences of two countries, thats a captain obvious moment, and never talked about quality..... it was simple, list the suppliers we come across... not a debate, a list of options.

The list that you are chasing there quick duck will probably be a while away yet....until the car is here in numbers not too much serious will happen. But I like your concept.....
As mentioned, KPM, Herrods, Harrop will be resellers of USA stuff and a smattering of their own gear.
Once some of these cars get onto the track either as track day cars or in club racing form, then some decent race engineering will start. Thats when local innovation will happen and it could come from any of the number of small dedicated race engineering businesses...the same will happen with dyno tunes....avoiding the overpriced impersonal big hitters that have splashed themselves about lately is my aim.....finding that someone who runs a good, fair small business with the personal touch is the go.

Amen :amen: It seems to always be the way with a new vehicle introduced locally- it initially brings out the money suckers :eyebulge:

Im keen to also find a smaller business within the Perth area that will provide a decent service.

i give up on this forum... really you all just think I am just stupid, jumping on most post I make, thinking you need to tell me this may not happen for a while.

One person got the idea of this thread, everyone just wanted to show how smart they are and express an obvious opinion about possibilities or how long it may take or adding in the names of the companies that sell packs ..... WE ALL know this!

Considering the Coyote isn't a new engine there is a good chance that it won't take long for manufacturers to adapt their engine products to the Mustang

Body and other customisations may take longer but would be worth waiting for

This is well and truly happening in the US - whether that occurs locally is another question.
