Hi,
I just got a 2016 GT Premium and it has Sync 3. I have been trying to use Android auto to access Apple music via my Galaxy S5 but have had no success. The only app that I had got to work is Pandora. Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I thought Apple Music was iPhone/Apple only?

At the time I dropped out (mid-december) of the thread below, the android auto/car play update had not been released for the 2016's yet.

But guys were installing on their own. First post seems to have been updated with the relevant info.

Also, not sure if Android Auto has the Apple Music app as part of its suite?

Android auto is not available unless you have Sync3 V2 or higher. Try something simple... start the music on your phone and use the voice button to say 'bluetooth audio'. If your phone is paired the music will start playing without having to plug into the USB.

Apple has proprietary rights, that is why you need a special cable to play apple songs. The App only allows you to hear it in low bit.

Here is a clue, why not just put all your music on a flash drive..? I have my favorite 200 Albums on a single flash. And another with movies & soundtracks.

Special cable? How so? Is this in relation to Android devices? On my iphone, I play apple music in my car directly from my phone via bluetooth or lightning cable.

Regarding car play specifically, I thought it was a special usb port that was required.

flash drive doesn't work so well if you are using streaming services.

Works like a charm. I turned on Apple Music on my phone and pressed play on one of my playlists and then selected Bluetooth from the stereo interface and it works perfectly. Thank you very much. I appreciate it.
