I have a quick question about American Racing Headers. They seem to have 3 systems available, full exhaust, bottle neck eliminator, and long system. On their site the long system bolts up before the axle back allowing you to use an aftermarket axle back or retain the factory mufflers. The bottle neck eliminator seems to include headers and lead pipes that bolt up to the factory resonator. On their site it says the bottle neck eliminator system is used for aftermarket catbacks, since an aftermarket catback bolts up to the lead pipes wouldnt the the bottle neck eliminator bolt up to the stock catback? I am confused. I basically want to know if the bottle neck eliminator will bolt up to the stock catback.

Thought I was in the modification sub forum...mods/admin a little help please

I was wondering this as well till I just went ahead and bought a Gibson catback to go along with the bottleneck system. I believe it's going to be a 3in connection so that's what makes me unsure of the stock catback fitting.

no, the bottleneck eliminator is for aftermarket 3 in cat backs. you cut the downsized section off of the catback. the bottleneck eliminators are longer to make up for what is cut off.
