Thanks again man .
Last question.
How are the knock sensors located differently on the Gen 3 block compared to the Gen 2 ?
Honestly I'm not 100% but isn't there 4 instead of 2?

Pretty sure you’ll need to use a Gen3 block. Not only are there not provisions for the knock sensors, but the 8 DI injectors as well. The DI pump is cam driven, so Gen3 heads & cams are needed. Without the DI, the PCM is gonna be confused as Hell and your dash will be lit up like a Christmas tree!!

How about Gen 3 heads on a Gen 2 block with DI pistons .
May be the knock sensors could be turned off in the tune?

I’m not sure. I spoke with a builder and he said I would need to use my block, but I didn’t even think about turning them off and I’m not sure I’d want to. I guess you could ask. You’d just want to make sure the mounting bosses are there. Again, I’m not sure if the DI setup just mounts to the heads or if there’s something needed on the block as well.

I’ve got the 10rib 20% lower. I’m at 15psi with the 3.87. I’ve got a 3.50 and a belt, so 18psi coming eventually
What size belt are you running with the 20% and 3.50"?

Thanks

6 rib 20% lower?
No...the plan is to purchase the 10-Rib 20% lower and water pump pulley but still run 6 rib belt and blower pulley. I'm currently running a 3.125" 6-Rib and want to turn it up a little more on a budget. There are some 10% and 15% OD options out there but the 20% 10-Rib gives me options to do the full conversion down the road if I ever feel the need to drop down to a 2.75".

Ha!
I may just do the 10 rib kit, I just got off the phone with Griptec and was asking them about if they think a 3.0" 6 rib has a fighting chance and they advised against it. There is still a part of me that wants to try it.. Lol

We just put a 3.125 non-griptec 6 rib pulley on; previously had the 3.375 non-griptec and was seeing no slip. Will definitely be interested in seeing how this holds up :cwl:
