I could not find any reviews claiming the EB as the better overall car. Value is another thing altogether. But let's not turn this into another versus thread.
The fast lane car on Youtube did say that you could make a real argument that the Ecoboost was the one to have due to the better balance, but's a matter of taste really.

For me, considering the power of the EB is still very good, I would take a loaded model over a bare model above it.
Some people prefer power and performance over features and there's nothing wrong with that.
I personally prefer very good performance (310/320 is nothing to be ashamed of) and a car loaded with comforts and features and toys.

First choice would be loaded GT but budget matters. The price of a loaded EB is slightly below a bare GT

Yep the loaded EB is a beast of tech and power.

Maybe the tie breaker for you between the i4 and the v8 would be where the engine is made, I know I know most don't care, and none of the 83 reviews even mentions where the engines are make. Only 2 out of 3 Mustang engines are made in USA.

Hope you fine best for you,

Aren't most of the EB engines made overseas?

My 5.0 gets the same or better MPG as the 2.3 in the city.

So does this sound smart? Get the ecoboost keep it as my DD then when I plan on getting on board with a track get the revised version of the gt350? Even though a the coyote sounds so good with a few bucks, and the added weight it's just hard to decide. Wish I could get my hands ahold of one in georgia so I can test drive it! And is the Eco boost really 50/50 weight of so that would be pretty nice in some mountain roads!

Edit: is there more than one Edmunds review? In the one tracking on this site, the guy does not say he likes the ecoboost better, in fact he says the PP GT is the way to go.
No, the guy (Karl Brauer for KBB (20+ years in car industry and big muscle car fan)) who use to be one of the main editors for Edmunds is riding in the Fast Lane review with the guy from that site and he says he can make the argument that the EB is the one to get.

7:50 of this video he starts the statement

Have a loaded Fusion with leather.

Never use any of the fancy gizmos or wish for more fancy gizmos. If I didn't carry a cell phone this would be a little different.

The leather is hot in the summer & cold in the winter. You can get heated and cooled seats, but what that really means is seats with hot and cold spots here and there.
Cloth does not whack you with temperature extremes when you get in or do the spot heating cooling thing while traversing. I think if they put in leather as standard & charged extra for cloth then people would see it as a wonder material and well worth the additional cost.

As you noted, it depends what you like. I think the same is true for 6 vs 8 vs eco boost.
Never had an issue with heated and cooled seats before. As for the tech, I could see that with computers, but things like the blind spot system, my ford touch, reverse sensors, etc..all are tech that will pay off avoiding 1 incident.

I could not find any reviews claiming the EB as the better overall car. Value is another thing altogether. But let's not turn this into another versus thread.
For those asking ...these are the things I took from various articles that IMPLY TO ME that the EB has better handling, feel, etc. The one from Autoblog.ca just has just a big group of positives for the EB so thats why that section is so big.
Autoblog
-Forgive us if we gush on about the new 2.3L a little more. It's a modern marvel of affordable to the masses technology.
- We specifically chose to drive the Ecoboost after the GT as we already knew the GT was going to drive like a champ. We wanted to see if the Ecoboost would live up to the hype in regards to front end feel and power delivery.
We hopped into a 6-speed Ecoboost Base Model with leather Recaros and set off on our merry way. Upon entry at the top of 2nd gear into the very same canyon road we carved up in the GT, our first reaction was "HOLY SHIT! Lord Ecoboost wasn't kidding around." This. Car. Means. Business. First corner entry was immediately noticeably quicker. That's the beauty of communication... the car communicates, and the driver answers... with more throttle and more grin.
Things we noticed right off the bat- the weight difference in the front end was more noticeable than we ever expected. Sure, it's only 45 kg lighter you say - but imagine 4 extra pistons pumping up and down at high RPM, similar to rotating mass the weight can be felt. Now we didn't exactly have to muscle the GT around corners, it did its job well and hustled us around them with haste and minimal fuss. Now the Ecoboost approaches the same corner with arguably more haste (as far as tighter roads are concerned) but with far more grace and zero fuss.
We found that we were a little sad when the canyon runs came to an end. The car was so much fun to drive. Whereas the GT was fun to rip through the passes, this car puts the F U in fun and increases the fun factor by 10.
-The Ecoboost provides a completely different experience. It's cheaper, it defies current Mustang mentality and offers up a graceful alternative to the rawness of the V8, not to mention the savings at the pumps. I don't think Ford will win over many current V8 owners with this car, but I do think that Ford will win countless new customers with this new Ecoboost.
It appeals to so many of the "New Breed". It's far better on gas, it's chockfull of modern technology, it doesn't require any muscle to drive quickly and spiritedly, and it's turbo. Turbocharging is popular with the "youth". Simple upgrades net you instant and cheap horsepower gains. The sounds associated with turbos are just plain fun and cool
Auto week
- While we did get the GT’s all-season M&S tires to break loose both in front and in back, apart from some minor slip here and there, the EcoBoost Mustang's summer rubber stayed in place. Barreling through the canyons, the car was predictable and stable no matter how hard we pushed it.
Cars.com
- For some people, the V-8 is essential to the pony-car experience, and I understand that thinking — it's visceral and exciting and something of a tradition. But for the first time, lesser motors in the Mustang can be just as entertaining, thanks to a far more balanced overall package.
CnnMoney
-The EcoBoost Mustang with its 2.3-liter turbocharged engine really is the thing, though. This is the Mustang of the era. Yes, its 310 horsepower is paltry compared to the 435 the V8 gushes out. But it's 200 pounds lighter and that little engine is happy revving all day long. And it gets 31 miles a gallon on the highway and an even more amazing 22 in the city. A genuine pony car, it feels playful and eager. It's as if someone had invented soy bacon that tastes better than bacon.
Detroit Bureau
- The new platform and suspension proved even more impressive during the second half of our day’s driving as we switched from the big 5-0 to the new Mustang EcoBoost model. The 52/48 weight balance was immediately apparent and, in the corners, might actually have given us a bit of an advantage over the more powerful GT.
- With a lighter nose, it improves overall handling. But our one gripe is the gear-whiny note this package produces, especially below 4,000 RPMs. We’ve been seeing other makers come up with solutions that deliver a more resonant grumble and hope that lands on Ford’s to-do list for updates.
Forbes
- The lighter 2.3-liter EcoBoost version is particularly striking in its handling balance and overall confidence, emphasizing a sporty nature that feels more Stuttgart, Germany than Flint, Michigan.
Top Gear
- Your heart might say V8 - and if you've been waiting several decades to get a proper one in the UK, nothing else will probably do - but your head should not let you dismiss that EcoBoost fella lightly. It might have over 100bhp less than the V8 but, depending on the final spec, the car can weigh over 100kg less, too. Pretty much all of that from the front end. So there is a huge win in the steering department for the smaller-engined car.

Its V8 for me
I have loved American cars all my life and never dreamed I would own one. I watch films and marval at all the v8s running around the streets. I went on holiday to the states and was picked up at the airport by a mini bus, powered by a v8!!! a minibus!!
I was picked up in taxis powered by V8s
I have books on American cars on my book shelf. Most are V8s. My all time favorite car is the 57 Chevy, with a V8 (sorry Ford fans).
Now I have worked my butt off with my business and I am in the position to buy an American icon. The ecoboost could be faster for all I care but there will only be one engine under the bonnet (hood) of my Stang and thats a purring, thundering V8
I will be living the dream everytime I start her up!

If anything the reviews would further solidify my choice. What do you mean by "since all the reviews came out"? They're glowing for the GT PP specifically.
Winner winner chicken dinner plus who wants fake engine sound.

As a new entrant into this kind of car, these comments are what makes the EB appeal to me.

The price premium from the ecoboost to the GT allows you to take that money and eventually sink it back into a car. When you have a turbo set up from the factory, it is wayyyy cheaper to get bang for your buck than the naturally aspirated. With 6 grand you can get this ecoboost to 450-500 easily. The 2.0 ecoboost in the focus st is getting to 380 WHEEL horsepower pretty consistently with a turbo swap and intercooler, only limited by the fuel system. That's 3000 bucks including the tune for a gain of about 150 wheel horsepower.

It would be a fantastic sleeper. Just doesn't have that v8 rumble/intimidation. Just have to pick your pleasure.
