Hmm, I just read last night that there was a recall on those injectors, and that people were getting them replaced free of charge. It was one of the BMW forums. Might be worth a double check anyway.
Edit: Oh, and BMW is not the only one who has released their code. There is a new law that...
I did not start my thread here with a statement that the M235i "mops the floor" with the Mustang. That is a gross exaggeration. I said that at the very end after I had explained why I felt that way, and I stand by that statement, at least where it concerns the first Mustang I drove. There was...
I just gave up and shave my head now. It's easier, and saves me money since I just use the trimmers. Besides, I'm too fashion blind to be allowed to choose a hair style.
The back seat in the M235i is almost completely uncompromised for people under 6'. Over that it would get a little tight due to lack of headroom. I'm 6' even, and the top of my head just touched the roof when I sat bolt upright. Legroom might be a little tight behind taller drivers, but in...
There was a reason for the question mark at the end of the statement. I've been scolded for calling someone a hair dresser before, as they preferred the term stylist. I guess everyone has their preferences.
Well, the real comparison that needs to be made is Mustang vs M235i, as the 540i is on the way out the door either way due to rust. After driving the other car, I would say that the Mustang probably has a slight edge in power and brakes, but the M235i has an edge in handling, feel, and fun...
I think the correct term is probably "stylist" when you get to that level, yes? Pretty sure they don't like to be called hair dressers, as that is considered low rent.
In any case, I really don't give a crap who else tends to drive the car. If I did, I would rule out virtually everything on...
Just an FYI, there was a recall on those injectors and they should have been replaced free of charge. You might want to look into getting your money back if your still have the receipts. The new ones don't seem to have the same problem, fortunately. Been watching for a while now and not...
Yeah, that would bother me too. The driver's side floor mat in my 540i likes to sit in just such a way that my heel is always rolling over the edge, which drove me insane enough to simply remove it entirely.
Ok, so today on my way home from work I decide to swing past the local Ford dealership, which is Hinder Ford in Aberdeen MD. I work in Aberdeen and live here during the week, but head home to family and friends in PA on the weekends, which is where I drove the other car. So they finally got...
In my experience the 135i was a bit understeer happy, and the factory tires sucked donkey-schlong. It was fun, but handling balance is better in the M235i. Steering is a bit numb on both to be honest, but I like the M235i's quicker rack.
Never had any problems with my 135i in the 15 months...
This creates a problem for someone trying to test drive a vehicle, given that the odds are it will not be loosened up when they drive it. Personally I'm starting to wonder if maybe the dealership is doing something wrong. I've got time, as I didn't plan to buy until after winter anyway, so...
That basically sounds like hell on earth to me. Gets me mad just thinking about it. Where is this? Just want to know so I can avoid it.
Actually it's lack of refinement in handling that is my main complaint about the car in comparison to the BMW. The lack of perceived power is also...
Personally I think it's mostly a perception issue. People don't think twice when the soccer mom in her minivan does it, but when Mr. Douche-bag in his leased 528i does it, the claws come out.
For me, I find people in diesel trucks with loud exhausts extremely irritating, but don't have a...
I did an acceleration run from a stop sign to about 85 or 90 mph. Couldn't give it full beans in first as I was pulling away from a 90 degree turn, but did so in second all the way to red-line and third until I ran out of room. It really just didn't feel all that strong. No hint of traction...
