Just curious if anyone has installed a generic one like this:

http://www.amazon.com/Univeral-Aluminum-Racing-Catch-Vacuum/dp/B00JRM359K/ref=sr_1_9?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1438876088&sr=1-9&keywords=oil+catch+can

The cheapest one I've seen that fits our cars specifically is $119. This one is $37, and I've seen them even cheaper. Obviously this one you have to do some modifications, and it might be worth the extra money for the 2 minute installation. But I was curious if anyone had done this. And if so, any tips, such as where to get the connectors if I don't want to cut up the existing lines.

I'm sure people have installed them, honestly the catching/seperating capability of something like that is light years behind something like a UPR catch can. I know the pricing is a factor, but factor in the correct hardware/installation and the price differences is not all that much.

Most likely I'll just spend more to avoid having to fabricate anything. The UPR is about the same price as the JLT. Is one better than the other?
