I thought about having my local exhaust make me an exhaust instead of purchasing one. Any thoughts. Who has done this. Do you regret it? I have long tube headers, into a resonator delete, into some borla mufflers. Kind of getting tired of the sound and want to change it up a bit without spending to damn much.

Yes, I had it altered 4 different times and still wasn't happy. It was either too quiet or it droned. Currently have a Corsa Sport catback, which ended up costing about the same.

Biggest thing with a shop is making sure the quality of the piping and bends are upheld. Crappy pipe will rot from the inside out. Crappy bends can reduce flow.. mandrel bent is the way to go.

A good shop can do all of the above, but once you get to a certain level of quality, it may mean paying more than purchasing a quality cat-back.

It all depends on what you’re going to want done. They may very well be able to utilize part of the existing system and keep the cost down.

Unless you have done some kind of fabrication that changes or need a special fab done, a factory maxe exhaust will more than likely be cheaper
