12frankie, do you have a straight pipe set up? What are you running after the downpipe? Did you also correct the cel? Tune or spark plug defowlers?
Only thing done behind the downpipe is the muffler delete. No spark plugs, cel, tune

I do not think its a good idea running an aftermarket downpipe without a tune or some sort of compensation to accomadate the pipe. You may run into issues later down the road.

I'm patiently waiting for my ATM intercooler. For the amount I drive, it should be fine

If I install the downpipe without a tune, would I run the chance of messing something up? I plan on getting a tune in about a month or so.

I read the post above but just want further clarification.

No. Only thing you will be dealing with is the cel for the rear o2 center. Maybe a defouler might work but with a catless DP you should always have it tuned to extract the most power out of it.

For certain? I thought there was a possibilty of boost creep, or maybe even running a bit lean with dp without a tune. Wrx Sti's, and speed 3's had cases where this would occur after tuneless dp's. Im not an expert though, just looked up other forums.

Im considering a tuneless down pipe as well, just making sure i know all the pros and cons*

That's what I read too, but I'm going to be running on Cobb's economy tune so it will limit the boost to about 13psi just until I get my actual tune from Tune+.

Just installed my downpipe! Not really liking the sound with my magnaflow competition exhaust. Keep in mind that I've only heard it from inside the cabin. Going to ask a friend to drive it around so I can hear it better. Other than that, installation was straight forward!

I may have to add a small resonator to the exhaust just to make it sound a bit better.

I just ordered mine for $250. My Eb is stock except for a cai from MAP and that little White Line transmission insert, so I'm pretty excited to see how this will sound/perform! A Cobb tuner is next on my list.

So far I have had 3 compliments from a tough crowd of muscle car fans.

I was pleased with it for half the price of most other downpipes
