You state you already installed the CVFab DP so it would be easiest to just buy there 3" elbow that will fit that DP and allow you to remove the 2.25" section of the factory catback to make it a 3" from DP into factory system.

Exhaust Connection Adapter for CVF 3" Stainless Steel Catted or Catles – CV Fabrication (CVF)

Yea i know about the adaptor we’re talking about a full on aftermarket system. The issue is finding a ecoboost setup that comes with active exhaust. I know MBRP made one and maybe borla but that the only ones i have seen

Ok so does your HPP have active exhaust now or you are wanting to add an aftermarket active exhaust to your HPP. I don't know if the factory active exhaust is the same as the non HPP systems in terms of the reducer/suitcase resonator being in the system.

As far as I know you are correct in that MBRP and Borla are the only 2 aftermarket active systems available at this time.

I don't have any sound clips driving, if I can find a place maybe I can record a couple quick ones today or tomorrow.

The 2.3 High Performance Package does not have a resonator on the exhaust, it comes off the down pipe and splits back to the active exhaust mufflers.

Hi
I am catless too, but the exhaust smell is annoying, even if I use E30.
Are you facing the same problem too?
Probably on January I will move to stock downpipe, to be honest I can't feel any noticeable performance increasing between catless and stock downpipe.

Thanks.

You need a tune to gain effects of catless… and smell is normal for catless…

High flow cats are an option

thanks for your feedbak, I have got a E30 tune with Vargas stage 2+ turbo.
with both downpipes I keep 24-25 psi from 3000 to 7000 rpm, in my condition the main difference is a little spool time, not so bad but IMHO not enough to accept this smell.

Tune is great car runs very strong, just remember that you do have to put some miles on your final tune for the system to adjust to it.

I would suggest then, that it's not tuned properly for the dp. There should be a noticeable difference.

Agreed it does not sound like the tune is correct for the mods on the car.
