I prefer the sleeper look while still modding.
Yep.

For me, black grille and fender emblems and the blank taillight panel are all I need on the outside.

As I stated earlier, the real mods go under the hood, but that's another topic.

Mine is staying stock too, at least appearance-wise. I toyed with the idea of a Roush front end, but decided stock looked better. I flirted with going to aftermarket wheels, but decided to just keep the ones it has. I think of it like a modern day Steve McQueen Bullitt Mustang look, except for the color of course!! Comp Orange is enough of an attention getter.

Not me. I had 04 Mach 1 supercharged and a 2006 Saleen supercharged. The stock Gt felt slow plus to have a 700hp car for 8 grand more is untouchable for the price

Aftermarket spoilers, scoops, vents? No thanks.
Giant, deep dish wheels? Methinks not.
Over the top 'skunk' stripes? not even the stock ones.
Logo wraps? Verped a little just thinking about it.
And please, please, no logo sunstrip or whatever across the windshield.

Of course, I fully support anyone's right to customize their ride however they see fit, but mine will always "look" factory stock (ok maybe a window tint...). Even though there might be a few extra goodies under the hood, it won't be advertised.

Any other crotchety fans of the stock appearance out there?
It's been over 40 years since I made any mod where appearance had anything to do with why I did it (I did flat-black the hoods on a couple of cars I owned, way back when you could see enough of your car's hood for a sun reflection off of it to matter).

So yeah, I prefer a very close to stock look. Probably closer than most, except for wheel and tire widths that are the only hints of the car's road course track time.

I mostly love the stock look, I categorize mods 3 ways.

Lowest category Visual Mods that do nothing for performance.
1) Diodedynamics tail light sequencer. I saw it for 80 bucks and loved it
2) 20mm Spacers,, the wheels are just tucked to far into the body for my taste
That is it.

Middle category pure performance mods with little if any outward sign (with the hood closed at least)
1)Cobb AP with Adam's tune
2)MAP CAI
3)MAP FMIC (black so very stealth)
4)MAP catless DP
5)Mishimoto Catchcan

Third category Mods that do both!
1)CJPP Lowering springs (Base Springs are terrible, the drop is a bonus)
2)18 inch wheels and performance tires (Stock 17s and Hankook tires are just dangerous at anything over stock power)
3)Map Cat back Exhaust (looks better than stock and the Sound!)

So you can see, i did very little to the car exterior because, like you, I feel it is nearly perfect. the small touches make it mine.
This is a good break down of mod categories. Specifically I was thinking of those visual/cosmetic mods that do nothing for performance. I will definitely be staying away from these with the exception of a darker tint; really a necessity for our hot, GA summers.

But even on the performance side, I'll barely touch it. Plan to do a Ford racing tune whenever the hell that comes out for the GTs. Would consider exhaust, although that too has the potential to draw attention I don't want, so it's "iffy".

Half the reason I bought another Mustang was because I love the simplicity and availability of modding. It's become a hobby of mine that I want to keep doing for the years ahead.
And the only time it's ever felt like a waste is when I had my 14' Mustang V6 and I got it to nearly the exact way I wanted it in both cosmetic, engine, and interior, and then it gets totaled by a reckless driver. In under 2 seconds, the car is wasted and so was the combined $3000 I put into it up to that point
But even after all that, I still came back to the Mustang and got right to adding stuff to it. I'm on a break for now because buying a house is expensive but after that's settled early next year, my mod list will start to get checked off again :D

I like to call it "enhanced stock"...tint and subtle additions are my preference. I don't judge or knock anybody else though for theirs.

I'm keeping mine stock appearance wise just 5% tint, dash cam, minor paint correction, and CQuartz coating. I'm going to change the stock shifter but just the top not the assembly. I'm planning to have Steeda put on a catch can. I'm probably going to have some suspension mods done at Steeda because stock suspension feels a little soft to me even with the performance pack. I want to tighten it up a bit, I hate the body roll and bounce! I love the performance package wheels and the look of the car as it is. After seeing the damage stripes did to a vehicle's paint yesterday while having my window tint done I'm not putting any on mine. When it comes time to do the brakes I'm installing slotted rotors because they look pretty awesome.
