Just inquired with Lethal on this issue. Mine has become progressively worse in only a week's time. First it was one diode, now it's 5-6.

I found moisture inside the lens where the balum wire plugs in. While letting it hang freely and thinking about how to get the water out, it began to weep the water from a most forward end, from the topside. Looks like the seal didn't take very well after looking at it closer today.

I would try, super glue the Lense and base with a clear tape to cover super glue and get that uniformity. Then use Heat shrink Tape to seal the connector. See if that works.

I just replaced them and have no issues so far. That said i haven't washed my car since i installed them. I am planning to wash my car this weekend and really scared now, since the issue is related to moisture. :confused:

We have 3 cars and so far i have installed it only in 1 car, second car installing tomorrow, 3rd car early next month and have a 4th one coming after a couple of months. :)

What worries me now is, that just postage itself will cost us a fortune if we have to replace them so frequently. :(
Moreover i did not have a good experience with Phillip recently who seems to be the primary contact on the email address contact@. :mad:

He has big ego, presumes customers are dumb as and will accept anything and everything he says. In other words, he (in most polite and diplomatic way) asked me to "F*** off" :mad:
when he tried to overcharge me in postage, instead of fixing the glitch in their system, which he eventually did when i refused to pay extra 9 dollars in postage. Why not fix it if you can, but i guess he finds it easy to overcharge the customer instead, as a quick fix. Nice customer service. Yes i am being sarcastic.;)

And this is after you buy a bulk load of LEDs from them for 3 cars - almost everything except the Fog Lights and DRLs for EU versions which they don't make or their FOG lights are too expensive for EU versions. It appears and i noticed recently that their discount coupons emailed did not work at first and the next coupon emailed seems to be adding way lot more in postage than the discount offered by these codes if they work.
I have also dealt with Steve and so far i have no issues with Steve but i am not sure if it will change based on the position of Phillip in the company. :shrug:

Either way time to make decision, the quality of the product was main reason i wanted to buy from a known brand and thats why we ignored all the cheaper quality options and ordered the whole KIT from Diode Dynamics for our cars. However it appears these markers may have a quality issue and hence they are not listed on their website anymore.

In my case what makes it worse is a bad customer service experience on top of this. Wondering if we should simply return the unused side markers back for full refund because there are known issues with this item. :shrug:
Good luck with 3 cars running them. Mine started the very first wash, less than a week after being installed. Also I'm not sitting there with a pressure washer pointed at them before the trolls jump in. :frusty:

Hi all,

I had to get my driver's sidemarker replaced (EU Model), some of the LEDs were dead (additional LEDs died on the right side since I took that picture). DD was fast in sending me a replacement, I installed it yesterday and up to now seems to be working. We will see if it holds. DD's service is great but such problems, mostly the same, do put the product in question.

I had to replace a Clear that was defective from the start...I don't drive in rain or many miles...Hope they keep working as intended-->:shrug:

My set is only 2 months old and the passenger side is the same as pictured earlier in the thread. I got in touch with Becca and she has been easy to deal with. She said it would be 2-3 weeks before a new pair arrives. They are looking into the issue. They are also sending a mailing label to send the old ones back. Hopefully round two is better than the first.

Is this problem only with the red side markers?

My clear was broken and just wouldn't work from the start.

Hmmm...well now you guys have me worried. I just stumbled on this thread through the "new posts" button. I've had these side markers (in red) installed for several months now. I purchased them about the same time as the interior LED set. I'll have to take a close look to see if mine are showing any signs of problems. Unfortunately, I just never really see them on (especially the passenger side) as I'm either driving the car or I back into the garage and walk out.

As for washing the car, I never take it through automated car washes but do hit it with water from a hose when washing it. I just assumed that they should be/would be water tight and good to go for many years. Hope they get it straightened out!
