The g3 is already pushing like 900 whp with the 100mm pulley. So, a bigger unit with a small pulley should pass the 1k without problem

Everyone's car is different, I'm at 1000whp with my G3 on the 100mm pulley currently. Some guys barely break mid 800hp on the 100mm. The 105mm pulley got me 870whp. Anything below the 100mm pulley requires the G3x billet impeller.

At some point, yea. Need to do tranny woerk but woukd bd happy with 900 or so before building out the 6r80
If you were gonna stay around the 1k mark then Iā€™d say G3x but if your thinking of going higher than go with the g4! It will give you the most room to grow at those levels.

Big reason why id go for the g4 is because of my lower compression motor which requires a couple more psi to make the same amount of power a stock compression motor would. Outside of that, anything above 1k would definitely need tranny work and a built shortlblock (aluminator has rods pistons arp bolts etc - max 1k hp from what i hear)

You gained 130whp from the 105mm to 100mm pulley with no other changes?

Especially when guys dyno at high altitude with massive correction factors. Most of those numbers are inflated quite a bit.

This. You ainā€™t gaining almost 150whp with one size down pulley, cuz injectors donā€™t do squat. So if everyone is at 850-870 on a setup and you make 1000 then you didnā€™t do anything newā€¦.you just got lied to and believed it.

this, times eleventyā€¦dyno means nothing, trap speeds are the real heartbreaker. Some of us learned this back when we were still using FMUā€˜s on our Kenne Bell blowersšŸ˜‰

Or use mustang dynos which have been the most inconsistent I've seen for the last 20 years. People always say "it was on a mustang dyno, it would make more on a Dynojet" when in reality the dynos that always come out as unusually high are mustang dynos.

mustang dynos have tons of input from dyno operator and suck. Dyno jet has been the industry standard for at least 25 years for a reason.
