Another shady dealer!

So I stopped in at Andy Mohr Ford in Indianapolis to check their inventory as my wife is now interested in a Mustang after I got my Ecoboost. They have a $3500 ADM on the V6 Mustang and I asked the salesman about Xplan and he said they aren't accepting it on the new Mustang but they are on other new cars. I thought if you offered it on 1 car you had to on all cars??? I just said thanks and that I would take my buisness elsewhere. I also said they needed to update their website as they have the same black 2015 Mustang Ad up for a month on a car they don't have and it's the wrong car. The car in the pic is of a V6 that they sold almost a month ago, I was told it was to attract customers...:eyebulge: :thumbdown:

Think I'll just wait until my current dealer gets another V6 in!

Yeah that's pretty damn shady. Had a similar experience, but they'll accept Z Plan pricing so.. they definitely participate. Bastards.

At this point I could care less, I wouldn't buy a car from them. I was stopping in to see what inventory they had as i was in the area and live an hour away. Just think its pretty crummy how they are doing business!

X-Plan participation is voluntary.

Pretty sure it is a dealer by dealer decision, Ford reimburses them for each XPlan sale but if they think they can make more by charging dealer markups, etc, then they will do that instead. Nothing in the program that I am aware of that says they have to accept it from all customers on all cars.

I don't have to much of a problem with the ADM, but when you add that to the other things it leaves a bad taste in your mouth!

Out of curiosity, why do you even want the v6? Even if you don't care for the better engine (which I assume your wife does mostly city driving), you cannot get any of the premium features with it.

I check AutoTrader constantly, and I've seen that "discounted" price over and over. I think at one point they actually changed the listing to MSRP and then bumped it back up.

I went over to Ray SKillman Performance and saw a sign that said "tell your salesman if you have any of these cars listed for extra trade in value!". The car I have now is on the list so I was pretty excited. I figured with the trade in, plus bonus, plus the tax benefit, it would put the value real close to private party sale price. I contacted the dealer and at first they were like "oh yeah, we do that on certain vehicles!". Hour later I get a text, they do offer it, but not towards the purchase of a new Mustang. I swear, I seriously hate car dealerships. Even if they seem decent at first, talk to them long enough they'll do something annoying.

Some of them make you want to go home and take a shower afterwards cause they just make you feel so dirty just from talking to them:thumbdown:
